Extra springtime energy
For most of the winter, the boys and I are in agreement as to our walk schedule. They wake me up at 10 or 11 (I work nights), and then I get as much as one hour to drink coffee and sit at the computer. They don't always like it, but that's the deal.
But as summer nears and temperatures rise, they're demanding that we renegotiate the contract. Today, they all got up barking at around 9 a.m. and stayed in the living room until I got up at 10.
I made my coffee, sat down, and all three were hovering and giving me the look. Eddie finally harumphed and went to the back door to be let out. Of course, Jack followed. Two minutes later, Rusty decided to join them. Then Jack wanted in. Then Jack wanted out. Then Eddie stood at the door and pretended to want in but only ran away when I opened it. But Jack came in. Then Rusty wanted in. And Jack wanted out. You get the picture.
Fifteen minutes later, I gave up on the coffee and went for our walk.
