| Sorry can't edit original post. Pressed send too fast. Bella's new vet doesn't insist on yearly blood work and urinalysis until the age of 5 unless there is a specific issue wrong with her. I requested it be done this time. However, I thought those were two standard practices for a yearly check up? Additionally, with the vaccines he did offer a 2 year distemper vaccine instead of the yearly one. So I got that in addition to the 3 year rabies shot. This way she only needs her bordatella every 6 months now. I never heard of the 2 year distemper so happy he offered it instead of the yearly shot. Would love to know what everyone requests to be done during the yearly exam.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | There is no such thing as a "2 yr distemper" or a 1yr - there is only one shot, period. You shouldn't have been getting the distemper/parvo annually as of years ago -- you should have been getting it every 3 years at most. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...-overview.html
