| ![]() Hi - just wondering how a yorkie girl would look without a top knot?? Do they still look girly? Can a bow still be used? ![]() |

| ![]() Apple has a visor w/the hair on top of her head, hanging down on each side...I can put that hair in a top knot, on special occasions, but for everyday, this works and keeps the hair out of her eyes...I tried the top knot thingy, for about a year, and no matter what I did, her hair broke, and became very thin on top...I guess she just wasn't blessed w/strong hair...Buzz (my little boy) has the same deal (visor w/long hair behind it)...I don't know how to make my pictures smaller, so I can upload them, or I'd show you a picture ![]() |

| ![]() My girl has bangs...with the hair on top her head hanging down on each side...I'm able to put a topknot with a bow in anytime I want, but if I don't feel like it...the hair is still out of her eyes. Here is a picture with a bow and one without.

| ![]() Jennifer-that looks like a perfect solution. Do you have her groomed, and if so, what do you tell the groomer? Apple's Mom-is a "visor" different from Jennifer's pics? Here's something I found, by the way, that made re-sizing pics easy peasy if you happen to have a mac: "...have a macbook also. I find the picture I want to resize. Under the file menu I click export, then click file export tab, JPEG quality drop down menu, click medium, size drop down menu, click medium, then I click the blue export button at the bottom right..I then choose export to desktop. Once in YT, then I upload the pic from the desktop rather than iPhoto since its obviously smaller."

| ![]() I make Frimousse's top knot only for pictures . She have short hair on her head. On the other hand , Mollie Jade always have a top knot . Top knot or not Frimousse always looks feminine. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | ![]() My Pixie came to me at 13 months and her topknot had just been cut off. My Dh loved her without a topknot so we left it. I cut it every 2-3 weeks.

| ![]() Jennifer - Thank you so much for the excellent grooming directions. I've saved them to use once Zoe has enough hair to groom. ![]() Lisey - It's my understanding that groomers often don't express the anal glands completely/correctly (I don't know the details, but something to do with internal versus external expression), which can sometimes cause problems. In fact, having this done by the groomer has caused my cavaliers problems in the past. I have it done at the vet. All beautiful babies, by the way! ![]()

| ![]() My babies don't have a problem with expressing there own anal glands...so there is no need for it. Its routine for a groomer to do it...unless you say other wise...if they don't have a problem with it...don't do it!!...cause once a groomer or vet starts doing it you will always have to have it done...and if there is no problem...it can and will cause a problem.
