| It's a small step, but one in the right direction. At least it will help put an end to some of the lies that people are told by sales people about pet store pups and their breeders. It's still up to the individual to make sense of the info, though. You would think that those that think to research the info would opt to not buy from a pet store, but most of these purchases are impulse buys. Thanks for posting this, Lissette.

| OMGoodness! Thanks for sharing this info. When my fiance'(now husband) was living in Illinois we went to several of these petshops. So glad I didn't purchase from there. Unfortunately and fortunately at the time I was not aware of pet stores being supplied by puppy mills and a year ago I purchased my furbaby from a pet store here in Nebraska(keep in mind I was unaware of where these babies came from). I was blessed to have gotten/rescued a dog that is healthy and has become the love of my life! Knowing better(now) I will never purchase again from a pet store! Do all states have some type of law against puppy mills, in particular Nebraska? |
