I work in the OR and know the damage that can be done with dog bites. It is not pretty and actually I would classify it as disturbing. We have domesticated dogs and then there are those that have turned that into something that had become dangerous to many. As I said way at the very beginning of this thread. The owners of these dogs ALL seem to be irresponsible in their ownership. Having a pet should be a privilege and not a right. Taking that one step even further breeding should only be done for betterment of the breed and not atrocities such as dog fighting!

| ![]() Thank you for the positive responses to my post! I have seen the worst of the worst, belive me, I am an animal lover, I try and place and save as many animals as I can! I have been to animal behavioral school and I am certified to evaluate dogs for aggression! Belive me there are some dogs I wouldnt place with a professional, because I myself have to decide in my mind that this dog will not attack, even a professional, it happens, if I do place an aggressive dog and God forbid it attacks someone I am not doing my job the best thing for the safety and well being for everyone is to euthanize the dog! I am sorry I am a firm on this I have seen way to many injuries and even death from dogs that got a second chance. Let me put it to you this way I just did a call where a 55 year old woman who worked for the Sheriffs Dept was out walking her dog, she saw some stray pit bulls, so she picked up her dog that she had for 12 years, the pitbulls grabbed the dog out of her grasp and proceeded to tear the little thing to pieces right in front her, now where are the rights for this little dog to live the rest of its life happily with its owner! The owner was so devastated she quit her job and moved away! Where are her rights, give the dogs a second chance.......so they can destroy someone elses life! Yeah Right! | ![]() I don't think your feelings are unfounded at all. There's a show on TV called Pitbulls and paroles. I have no idea how you can get hold of them, but they have an awesome program where they take in pit bulls that have bitten people or done something else wrong. The paroles have the job to rehabilitate one dog at a time. If they do a good job their parole is slightly shorther then it would be, and if they fail, and don't do a good job someone else is assigned the job, and the parole goes back to jail. It's amazing how hard they work, and how many of them go to good homes with no more problems. I guess I'm a little partial to pitbulls. I use to breed them for a living, but stopped when I saw the type of people that were coming to buy them. I usually sold them starting at 500, and people that look like they just came out of the sewer would offer me 50. I knew what they wanted the dogs for, and I wouldn't sell them. I did a through background check on the people, and had my pits tested well before they were breed, and did every other test that was out there to ensure I'd be breeding a good dog. I hope everyone doesn't get mad at me for my input, but I'm sharing my opinion.

![]() Seeing a child needlessly mauled by a Pitbull or seeing a "muzzled" Pitbull...I'll glady view the latter. When & if you decide to return to post on YT, please bear in mind that you are always guaranteed to read other opinions here that may or may not be to your liking. ![]() Learning to appreciate opinions other than your own is a valuable tool to posting.

It's like saying that what happened to Princess Diana was her own fault because she was a public figure and 'it just comes with the territory.' And yes, I remember what Vick did...point? ![]() Quote:
