| Doggie exercise My Yorkie poo puppy is full of energy. I have to keep him on a leash outside so we do lots of walks. Indoors he has lots of toys plus we started puppy obedience classes. I feel like he is bored tho when it's just him and I. I can't always entertain him tho. Any ideas for games or toys that will keep him busy?

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | A high energy pup is quite demanding. I loved the other suggestions offered. But I would suggest that you and your pup need to co ordinate for you and your home. You have duties responsibilities to carry out. The pup needs to be given boundaries. A guess a simple answer is you two now need to build the Team Two. It is no offense to give your pup a time out in his expen while you vacuum cook clean etc.

| Take a empty plastic soft drink bottle.....put a handful of the kibble your baby loves to eat, or you can put Cheerios in the bottle....and leave the lid off, put it on the floor and watch him spend almost an hour, rolling that bottle all over the floor, getting the treats as they fall out from the bottle......this is my guys most favorite game in the world! |

| Thanks! What a great (and economical) idea! He does love playing with water bottles. I never thought of putting something in it! Thank you so much!

| This is what I do with M... With Z, she's much smaller so I just wrap the treat ball instead of tying it. Sometimes, I'll put them in the bathroom and hide a toy somewhere in the house. And then I let them out to search for it. It's one of their fav games! |

I too think it's good to have alone time for you and your pup (i.e. crate them or put them in their x-pen). They need to learn for their own benefit and yours how to relax and be calm when you're not around. It has a lot of pros down the road... Quote:
Scottie loves the 'find it' game too!
