The next YorkieTalk Gift Exchange, YT GE XXXIII, our THIRTY THIRD Gift Exchange, will take place in May 2014. Remember that the person you are giving a gift to MAY or MAY NOT be the same person you are receiving a gift from. You MAY or MAY NOT be paired with a Yorkie of the opposite sex. There is no official theme for this GE.

Effective January 2012, we have revised some rules of the YorkieTalk Gift Exchange. Please be aware of the new rules. Please note that the new minimum has been raised to $40. Here is the link to the GE Rules & Regulations:

PLEASE NOTE THE BELOW if your Secret Buddy lives in Canada or the United Kingdom or overseas:

We suggest you use the US Postal Service to mail to Canada or a non-USA address (as UPS and Fedex charges additional fees).

Also, please note to mark your item as a gift, and please do not claim it as more than $50, otherwise your Secret Buddy will have to pay import taxes on it. If you have any questions about this, please contact us. Thank you!

- You have 250 or more posts here at YorkieTalk (before you sign up in this thread).

- Please do NOT send your Secret Buddy any USED toys or clothes. Re-gifting a new item you may have received is fine, but any USED items are not allowed.

Please do not sign up unless you are CURRENTLY a Donating Member.

Please note that the spending minimum is now $40 for your Gift Exchange gift (this does not include shipping), though if you choose to spend more on your Secret Buddy, you may. Please do not expect anything more.

Here is the YT Gift Exchange Rules & Regulations. We now require all participants to be Donating Members (members that have donated $25 or more). If you are ALREADY currently a Donating Member (your usertitle shows Donating Member), this does not apply to you. We must receive your donation before you may sign up for this Gift Exchange. If you want to enter two Yorkies in this Gift Exchange, you must have donated a total of $50 or more.

Here is the YT Gift Exchange FAQ.

Please note that you MAY receive a secret buddy in Canada (if you are in the US), and you MAY receive a secret buddy in the US (if you are in Canada). Be prepared to pay a few dollars more in shipping costs if this is the case. If you receive a secret buddy in Europe or overseas, there will be extra shipping costs, thus you will be reimbursed roughly $19 for the extra shipping. We will reimburse you via Paypal or cashier's check after the recipient receives their gift. Also, to save on shipping costs, you may want to keep the package "lighter".

If you are not in the USA or Canada, there is a $20 shipping fee to participate per Gift Exchange. Your Secret Buddy will be reimbursed this $20 fee after you have received your package. This covers the extra costs of shipping international.

This thread is ONLY for SIGNUPS. Do not post any questions or anything else besides sign up in this thread. Please PM us if you have any questions.

You must already have your Yorkie (if you are a new Yorkie parent) by April 1, 2014 to participate in this Gift Exchange.

The signup period will end April 30, 2014. You will receive your Secret Buddy information within THREE DAYS after the end of the signup period. If for some reason you sign up and can not participate in this Gift Exchange, you MUST notify us before the end of the signup period.

You may send gifts starting May 1, 2014. The deadline for sending out gifts will be May 30, 2014.

Please note you must post a "Thank You" thread to your buddy within 2 weeks of receiving your package, unless you notify us in advance (family vacation, emergencies, etc).

Yorkie's Favorite Toys, Snacks, Clothing style – Zukes Mini Z-Bones in clean berry and carrot crisp, Wellness beef treats. He likes beef, liver and chicken flavors. He is not big on fish or duck flavors. He loves anything that makes noise and has a squeaker in it. He loves walks mostly and sleeping with his bear bear. He is a pretty easy going guy.

Yes, any will work but prefer no pull bands/pony tail holders or alligator clips work best.

She loves toys, prefers soft ones, squeaky ones and chewable ones.

She loves snacks, will try anything once and loves Zukes. Please No type of Jerky /Chicken or other and Please no Beef lungs / she can not tolerate them.

She will wear any style clothes, but nothing too heavy weight or to formal. We prefer every day wear but would love to see her in one of those addorable Pant Suits with the ruffles. Made with stretchy fabrics, the last one she got was too small/tight. So, she never got to wear it.

Ruby is strictly a girly girl all the way. Mom thinks she looks great in any colors or animal prints. We prefer not to have any dark colors (Navy, Black, Hunter Green) But use you own judgment.

Our SB should know that Ruby loves being the center of attention and is such a little Diva when it comes to modeling her doggy clothes. We aren't too picky when it comes to clothes as long as it was chosen with her in mind. We are open to trying new looks. She loves taking car rides, playing in the yard and going on walks so leashes and no choke harnesses are always useful. We do all of our own bathing and grooming.

Yorkie's Favorite Toys, Snacks, Clothing style - He loves anything that squeaks and balls. I prefer grain free snacks, and only made in the US. He is very much a boy and loves dressing like one. He prefers his clothing to have utility (sweaters/sweatshirts, coats to stay warm etc) and doesn't really wear clothing when the weather is hot.

Yorkie's favorite colors - He likes all colors. We usually try to dress him in gender specific colors to avoid him being called a pretty girl

Lilah likes crinkly toys and squeaky toys the best, she is not really a biscuit girl but does enjoy pig ears, bully sticks, that sort of thing. Her dress style tends to be very sparkly/girly/extravagant but we also love a comfy snuggly down-home sweaters

Henri doesn't wear bows, he would have them off in a heartbeat

Favorite clothing style: Henri wears all kinds of different types, but he generally prefers tank-tops and t-shirts.

Favorite Toys: Anything! He loves things that bounce, squeak, cringle, and things that are soft, hard, or in between. He is not picky when it comes to toys.

Favorite Snack: Henri LOVES peanut butter flavored treats but will also eat pretty much anything. I give him only organic treats with no preservatives or sugar. He has really come to like ones called DoggyDollar, which are meat treats made in the US.

Henri is generally a easy one to please, there isn't much that pup doesn't like. Please no harnesses as he is an escape artist and the only one that he can't get out of is a Buddy Belt. This will be an interesting GE as his birthday is in May so anything birthday themed is welcomed!

Does your Yorkie wears bows? If so, what size and what backing do you prefer (bands, barrettes or alligator clips)? She will wear a bow with an alligator clip. Any other type of bow she can get out and will usually hide them. I am not sure the size, so let's say small.

Yorkie's Favorite Toys, Snacks, Clothing style -

Sophie Kates loves Charlee Bear Treats, Antlers and Peanut Butter Treats. She cannot have anything that is high fat due to an ongoing health problem.

She loves balls, any type of ball but prefers one that squeaks. Rope toys or any type of tough dog toy is good also. Stuffed toys are not a good choice for her, they tend to get torn apart within the first 5 minutes.

For clothing she likes T shirts and tank tops and sometime she will wear a dress that is made of T shirt material. Any type of dress with a ruffle or a skits will not work for Sophie Kate (she will shut down and not move).

Yorkie's favorite colors - Sophie Kate is all about Pink (okay I am) she also likes Aqua Blue and Purple.

Yorkie's Favorite Toys, Snacks, Clothing style - When it comes to snacks, she loves Zuke's (all flavors) and dehydrated chicken. We have not purchased any Zuke's since the buyout, so anything "healthy" and made in the USA.

Yorkie's favorite colors - Yellow and black, pink, teal, brown. Purples, reds...

Anything extra I want my Gift Exchange Pal to know about my Yorkie (please mention anything your Yorkie doesn't like or doesn't want or can't eat) - Thalia loves toys, particularly rope and nostuff. They seem to be her favorite, but she loves everything. I haven't tried to give her a snack she won't eat.

Although I doll her up, she is very much a tom boy! She loves to get dirty and rough. Poor Big Brother Zeus is always complaining to me: "The Mama! The Mama! The Little Thalia who is not so little is hurting The Zeusy! HELP!" But Zeusy...you need to learn to stand up to your little sister... <3

And although she is a tom boy, she does love wearing clothes. Almost as much as she loves wrestling with brothers Zeus and Odysseus!

Zoie is a yorkie mix.. a rescue dog. She is a bit big for a yorkie, maybe 9 to 10 lbs.

Zoie loves kongs -- med. sized ones -- that you can stuff. Things to chew and balls to chase.

pretty colors for clothing (sweathers jackets etc) pink and purple-- her mommy likes netural colors for beds and such.

My daughter (Karrie) and Zoie are very excited to be in the ge. If their sb needs any help from me and don't mind me know who they are I am glad to help. I love planning and making stuff and shopping for my sb.. so I would love to help with Zoie's box too.

Karrie wanted a cloud 9 bed ( I know that is expensive but just listing what she wanted) in gray, white black or tan. She would like a treat bag that can be attached to a leash, sweaters, toys (kongs) and a cute collar (she has several harness)
