Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | 2 Dresses & A Harness Hey y'all! Happy Wednesday! After grooming both of the girls this morning and getting them dressed, I decided to work in the craft room. I finished up an owl dress and a matching red/gray zebra dress and harness. It's still gray and dreary here so I just snapped pix in the craft room. I am so ready to see some sunshine! I am tired of all this rain and gray skies! LOL Hope you guys are having a great day! Mollie & Katie Scarlett send out their love! I am off to play with them for a while since we can't go out on our walk in this weather.

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | Wonderful job. But I have to say the girls clothes (in general) are always so much nicer. I know they bows the ruffles. . . . We really need to come up with something for the poor guys. . . . ..

| Ayme your dresses are always so beautiful! Make me wish for a little girl to dress up. I am trying to figure out how to redo a leather jacket for Buster. I found a really cute motorcycle jacket at Build A Bear and I want to try and alter it for Buster. It may end up being a vest as the arms are not at a natural angle for Buster.

| I love the owl dress! What size is it? Will it be in your Etsy store?

Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | Thank you guys! As far as the pattern I use, my favorite harness pattern is Simplicity 2393. It is for harnesses, but it is SOOO easy to use. Then to make dresses with it, I add various skirt patterns either from different patterns I have purchased or I make my own patterns for the skirts. I started out sewing (or trying to) with a McCall pattern and it was very confusing to me. I'm sure if I was to try it again, I might understand it better now that I have had more practice. But that 2393 is so easy and my favorite. Wait on Hobby Lobby or Joann to have a sale though...you can get it for a buck! I do have more of the owl fabric on hand. That one pictured above was a custom order I had. I believe it was a size small. I am not sure if I will be putting a dress in the shop using that one, but feel free to pm me if you are interested in a certain size.

| That's funny cause I had the opposite experience. I started out on Simplicity patterns (making Barbie Doll clothes - Mom said my fingers were smaller and I would have an easier time making those.) then tried McCalls and have never had a problem. LOL Guess it's just how you understand things. LOL
