| Any reputable Breeders in South Carolina? Hello, I am doing research on the Yorkie, I have always been attracted to this breed and am considering getting one in the future, but first I would like to learn all I can about them...Health issues, their antics...everything and anything..I am also in SC and was wondering if there are any breeders here, or close by?...any info would be great! |

| I'm in South Carolina! Hey I'm in Myrtle Beach, SC and I know of 2 Breeders that have puppies available for sale now. I just purchased a Female from one of them for $1,000.00 that's pretty reasonable for this breed. She has one small female left for the same price, but I suggest you get a male based on their personality they tend to bond with women more often. I also know another Breeder here that has a female for $1,000.00 and a male for $700.00 but she is only giving a "Limited" AKC. Registration so you could not breed either, which I'm assuming they will be a "Pet" not Breeding Stock? Or Show Quality? The males are generally cheaper too! The small female that I mentioned in the beginning will be about a little bigger between 5-6 pounds just right and the latter will be a little smaller between 4-5 pounds. If you have small children I would suggest looking for one between 6-8 pounds they are not as delicate as the smaller ones, a lot sturdier and healthier. The prices are pretty reasonable down here because of the economy. If we were in Boston, New York or Hawaii they would start @ $1,500.00 to $3,000.00. So your pretty Lucky to be down here. I have seen both litters and recommend both it just depends on what your looking for? Both have good breeding/pedigrees (Champions in their Lines) Both have all their shots and are wormed, dewclaws removed and their tails docked and ready to go. If you are interested you can e-mail me and I could give you their phone numbers? Good Luck |

| Thank you for your response, I really do appreciate it. I do not have small children so that isn't a concern. I would prefer one on the smaller side. I'd also be getting a female because I have a male dog and wouldn't want to create a chance for conflicts between the 2. I would love the info you have on the 2 breeders that are here in SC...and if you have any pics of these breeders dogs that you could send me, that would be great!...Thank you again...if you have anything else to add please do.... |

| I believe personality really depends on the individual dog, not it's gender..it is a matter of genetics and environment...Anyhow, I don't know where in SC you are, but "Bentley & Bitsy's mom" just had pups... ok, Bitsy had the pups...she is in Charlotte...I think she plans on selling them...it is her first litter...I'm not sure much else

| I really wanted a female Yorkie when I started my research. Then, I wanted a baby boy...but I am so confused...now...Glad I have a few months to go before I decide. Good Luck on your quest.
