| Looking for male yorkie pup North texas Hi all, just found this site. Being a yorkie lover I had to join, which brings me to this post. I have one mini yorkie, his name is turbo, he's the cutest little thing, alpha male, very loving/energetic/hyper. I bought him for my little brother, they moved taking turbo with them I am now looking for another male mini yorkie. I contacted the breeder that we got turbo from, they do not have any pups available nor know anyone with any at the moment. So I'm wondering if anyone knows a reputable seller that has pups available. I'm looking for a male. I have found several people but I do not want to risk getting a unhealthy pup, would break my heart if something happened to it. |

A seller, is a broker, who buys puppies from breeders and resells them. If you buy from anyone other than the breeder, you have no idea how this puppy was raised, and the breeder clearly does not care who their puppies are sold to. Avoid them like the plague. A word of advice. Just because they are listed on YTCA.com, does not mean they are good breeders, reputable breeders or that their puppies are healthy. There are good breeders and bad breeders everywhere. Good luck on your search. And never let price be the deciding factor.

| The odds are much higher of finding a reputable breeder listed on the YTCA.ORG site. Buy from the best, buy your breeder first, them the dog. Also, stick with the standard, and do not pay more for an off color or standard pup. |

| I agree. I would start with ytca.org - Yorkshire Terrier Cub of America. They have a breeder referral page to help you find a breeder in your state/area. I got my little girl, Gidget, from a YTCA breeder/exhibitor - could not be happier. |

As for the variety of colors, that is individul preference. Color has no bearing on getting a healthy dog, or a dog of standard size. And price means nothing either. It's all in the breeder.

For some strange reason, I had a feeling you would be back saying you disagree. That's really terrific. The odd's are much better finding a Breeder through YTCA than the paper, a stranger in a station wagon, a person that IM's you on YT saying they have just what you want when they do not breed to the AKC standard, etc. Those that advertise Teacups, tinies, midgets, widgets, choclates, Caramels, and strawberries. No, not surprised at all you would disagree. In fact, I am quite happy that you did.
