I disagree, the odds are not necessarily any greater of finding a good breeder on YTCA. Just as they are not any greater if the puppy is AKC registered. Some people had behind an organization to give unsuspecting buyers a false sense of security.
As for the variety of colors, that is individul preference. Color has no bearing on getting a healthy dog, or a dog of standard size. And price means nothing either.
It's all in the breeder.
