Looking for a Yorkie female pup in or near Dubuque Iowa and having a hard time finding a good breeder.

I do not know of anyone in that area, but thier are a lot of quality breeders on the forum. I would say you have to ask yourself what are you looking for in a Yorkie? A good pedigree, or just a pet? Also what are you looking to spend? Are you willing to have one shipped to you to meet thes needs?

Dubuque is pretty close to WI so I would see if there were any breeders on here from WI which I know there are considering I am from WI and have found lots of people! Good Luck

You might try Shawn at yorkiesjs.com, she has some very nice puppies. I'm not sure what she has available right now. She is located in northeast IA, I believe. Good luck in your search!

I met Shawn at a show a few months back-her dogs were beautiful!!!

Have you tried yorkiesgalore.com? I believe she is in Indianola. Also, try breeders.net. When you get to this site, just put down what breed you are looking for and your zip code. It will take you to a long list of yorkie breeders in Iowa and many of them have websites. Good luck and keep me posted!!!

I forgot to tell you that breeders.net also gives you a map and the distance to the breeder from your location!!

I wouldn't recommend yorkiesgalore.com, she has too many dogs. Also she breeds mixes. JMO

I agree-having so many at once and the mixed breeds too makes it appear to be more of a business than anything. I don't think you'd know exactly what you were getting buying from a website either-home raised dogs, bred by experienced breeders are best, IMO.

I don't know if you found a puppy yet, but I've got four little girls that are 7 weeks old now. They are AKC registered and should mature between 3-5 pounds. I'm in Plymouth Wisconsin, and I'd be willing to drive to meet somewhere.

I have several puppies looking for a truely good home, they are almost four months old from one litter and going on 3 months old from the other. I live in North Dakota but I am willing to hand deliever my babies to the right homes.
You can speak with Francis53 or EmrldShdwQueen regarding the quality of my Yorkies. If you would be interested I have them listed here Yorkie Puppies Ready For New Homes. The little one standing is spoken for but the rest are still available. Terri
