| Looking for Male Yorkie Pup in NY/NJ Hello everyone: I live in Manhattan with my boyfriend and little Chihuahua named Apple. We moved from California a little over a year ago with my little baby, my yorkie named Mojo. He was the love and joy of my life. We unexpectedly lost Mojo several months ago due to a bad reaction to anesthesia. It was horrible. Our "family" just isn't complete without our little Mojo running around, and although he will never be replaced in my heart, our home is one yorkie short... We are ready to start looking for a new puppy and are interested in a boy yorkie, roughly 5-6 lbs, that is home-raised with tons of love. We are looking for a yorkie-mama who is expecting a litter near the end of April '08 that lives in the NY/NJ area. If you are out there...or know of someone...PLEASE contact me or send me the person's email/phone number. We would greatly appreciate ANY help. Thanks, Wynter

| Hi Wintere. I'm sorry to hear about your Mojo. I lost my 10 yr. old Yorkie to cancer over the summer. You can try Petfinder.com: Adopt a pet and help an animal shelter rescue a puppy or kitten.. We found our Lilly there. We got her from Burlington Animal Alliance at 13 weeks old. She's now almost a year old and weighs just shy of 4 lbs. The adoption fee was $400 and that included her spay, shots and vetting. I hope this may help you out. Elaine |

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | Hi Wynter. I'm so sorry to hear about Mojo. If you check out the nursery section or the yorkies for sale/wanted section on here, you may be able to find a breeder. You might also try Petfinder (or another shelter) as Elaine suggested. Best of luck to you!

| Good News Wynter I remembered that you said you just moved to NY with your boyfriend. I found on petfinder 10 baby Yorkies that are currently in rescue. The rescue is Little Friends Forgotten Rescue. The Yorkies are in Middletown NY. I've inserted a link to one of them, but there are 10 in total and they are 9 weeks old and look adorable and to be full bred Yorkies. Thought you may want to check it out. | Thanks for the information. The rescue organizations are so amazing and my heart goes out the little angels in need of homes. However, we actually won't be ready to bring home the new fur baby until then middle- to end- of summer because of a vacation we have planned (hence the end of April/early May birth date we are looking for.) From what I keep hearing, it is difficult to find a reliable breeder in NYC. What I'm looking for, more than anything else, is a family who breeds purely for the love of yorkies, not as a business. I want the little fur baby to be home-bred and raised with lots of love. If you hear of anyone in the NYC/NJ whose yorkie is expecting soon...keep me in mind!! Wynter
