| Band-It Silk Belly Bands Silk Band-Its are a revolutionary new product to help protect your personal belongings from Male Marking Syndrome. This innovative new product has been in R & D for over two years and has been in testing phase two of our very special members and their magnificent Males. They have both given the thumbs up to release them to the public so here goes?.. Band-It?s consist of a super thin/super absorbent waterproof barrier sandwiched in between two layers of silk, an outer layer of soft raw silk and a bottom layer of dupioni silk. Silk has always been my fabric of choice when sewing for yorkies. Silk is very gentle on delicate hair. Unique features include: 1) Contoured design helps ensure leak protection. 2) The fast absorbing waterproof barrier allows you to use the band with or without a urine absorbing pad. 3) Urine is quickly absorbed through the silk layer and is captured in the waterproof lining. 4) The silk dries quickly which reduces irritation. 5) The bands are attached with hook and loop fastener. The contoured Loop side of the best is inserted through a belt loop and attaches to the hook portion. The contour on top prevents hair from getting tangled in the hook and loop AND the belt loop adds considerable stability. 6. Boys wearing the Band-It will look very stylish in their elegant ?for boys only? fashion. Band-It's will be custom fit -- please pm me with an accurate waiste measurement along with your color choice and I will provide payment instructions. The cost is $15.00 each with shipping charges of $1.50 via USPS first class mail. Four very stylish plaids are available as well as any of the 30+ silk colors I have on hand -- see color chart below. Special Introductory Offer ? this week only ? free shipping PLUS the Band-It/Over the Collar Bandana Set will be offered for $25.00. After midnight Saturday, April 22nd the price will be $30.00. Please feel free to comment on the Band-It's - however due to the YorkieTalk posting rules I will only respond in this thread to actual questions regarding the Band-It's. I will respond to each and every comment via PM. Thank You! |

| Can Machine Wash but Hand Washing is Better! Quote:
Thank you for your laundering question: Band-It's can be machine washed in warm water and dried on low heat however, I recommend hand washing with a fine fabric wash such as Woolite. Please do not use any fabric softener as it will interfere with the absorbancy of the inner layer.

| Bumping this up because of the questions.... Do they stay on better then velcro? Do you make silk panties for the girls? Can we get any width or do you have a standard width? Thanks Cindy!

Jenn, thank you for the questions -- 1) Do they stay on better then velcro? They do have a velcro closure. The difference is the configuration of the top of the band helps the velcro stay in place AND helps the prevent fragile hair from getting tangled in the hook part of the velcro. 2) Do you make silk panties for the girls? Silk panties are on the drawing board..... I draw slow and test thoroughly so it will probably be sometime early summer before I will be ready to offer them. 3) Can we get any width or do you have a standard width? When I say width, I am speaking about the contoured belly section which is a standard size. The length is custom fit (much in the same way as the silk harnesses) to your specifications. The contoured belly section fits Peppy perfectly (he has a 3 1/2" distance between his front and back legs AND fits Howard perfectly who has a 7 1/2" front to back leg span.

| Girl Doggy gets excited and pees What do y'all recommend for this? I have a female dog that that when she gets excited (coming around new people or going over to someone else's house), she pees? I also have to let a neighbor keep my babies in 2 weeks. I am worried about this. Is this where I get panties for a girl dog?? I have a bellyband for my male. He doesn't wear it at home, but wants to mark at others' houses. the female dog, I got this past Tuesday. Just trying to see what all of you pro's recommend! Thanks. Sorry if this is a stupid question. |

First, maybe you should speak w/ your vet.....I have never had a female, so I am not certain how they "should" act and what they should do regarding this matter. Mojo use to "try" to mark at other people's houses, etc. but he grew out of it or stopped for some reason...I don't recall anything special that I did. Next, I am not certain if Cindy has panties, but I think you putting panties on the girl will help (for sure). I know Des has some really cute ones and there was another YTer that had really cute (fancy ones) too. You can probably do a search and find some panties on here. I know they also have disposable ones in PetEdge. Good luck w/ your little girl!
