| Best Shampoo (?) I recently got my Yorkie puppy (end of feb) and wanted to know which was the best shampoo. I've already tried three but his coat wasn't left shiny and the next day was smelly. Any suggestions? |

| Bedhead May sound crazy, but I used to use Bedhead manipulator that I use on my head. Like mama like son I guess? LOL it worked well for me left shine and moisture without drying coat or skin out. Just have to be careful cause it's not tear free.

| I absolutely LOVE Chris Christensen products for dogs. It smells so good and leaves them so clean and shiny for days. Only problem with it is the many steps for the products, but the end result is worth it. I use Minksheen when I'm in a hurry. Try the chris christensen day to day system kit that has small bottles of shampoo, conditioner, protein conditioner, after bath and ice detangler...their brushes are wonderful too. My dogs LOVE to be brushed with the little pin brush from CC. Chris Christensen Systems, Official Site, Internationally Renowned Canine Grooming Products Used By Top Show Dogs!

Your puppy probably still has that downy puppy hair that does not behave and may not shine as well as the silky coat that hopefully comes in next.

Senior Yorkie Talker | Hi, I usually apply spa shampoo on apple the one for dark coats then I use dove shampoo and conditioner and after that I dry her up with a blow dryer and add the body spray to match both shampoo and conditioner and to top off I might add a little emporio armani for woman and she smells heavenly for days mmmm not to mention her coat is so shiny and soft.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Joey breeder recommended Biogroom products, and recently Petsmart started carrying them, so I like them even more. You can get a sample pack from the manufacture that includes, puppy shampoo, regular shampoo, oatmeal shampoo, and conditioner. I use the regular shampoo, and conditioner, and a few of their other grooming products as well. Here's their link, just click on "contact us" and ask for a sample of the products, it's free, and they are very concentrated, you add 4 parts of water to one part of the product before you use it. Bio-Groom - Exceptional Pet Care Products for Over 30 Years I've tried different shampoos, and haven't found any I like better, I think as long as you are using a quality shampoo made for dogs, you will be fine, dogs have a different pH than human hair, so human products will leave the hair looking fried over time. I think using the wrong product can damage hair, but I don't believe that there is any magic product that will make dull hair look shinny, it's mostly genetics. Mainly you want a shampoo that safe, doesn't irritate their skin, or hurt their eyes, and is the proper pH for their skin, oh yes, and smells good too.
