| Happytails Sparkle and Shine/Chamomile Spritzer Last night Maya maltese really needed a bath! I bought some new tear stain stuff for her and you are supposed to have the area clean before you start it. Anyways, so I decided to try the new Sparkle and Shine Shampoo (from Happytails, the same brand as the miracle "detangler"). I loved that Shampoo! It smelled SO good and Maya was bright looking (white coats can get dull looking). The BEST part is that I didnt even have to torture her in the bath by having her sit in conditioner, the chamomile spritzer is a leave in conditioner and today she is super super soft |

| Your babies are always cute! I agree about white coats getting dull. I have to give Codie a bath once a week but luckily he has NO tear staining at all. He just gets a funny odor after a while.

| I forget, which Shampoo do you use again Jen? I must have 50 products under our sink. I always try everything before I start to sell it to make sure I like it for mine. I have tried the le pooch brightening shampoo now as well, and that stuff is actually amazing. Kinda pricey, but the bottle lasts for a while, and le poochs products really are wonderful! I was really surprised how much I love the happytails though. The spritzer is awesome (I dont like Ice and Ice though), and it really does make them soft |

| Brooke- Since you say you like to use most of the products you sell, which one would you say you like the best for your yorkies (shampoo and conditioner wise)? We use the chris christensen products on Annie and she has a wavy/cottony coat. We seem to like this cause it keeps her matte free in between baths. But just curious with all the different products that you have used... |

This shampoo and condiioner called "VitaCoat" from Europe works best for haley. I have also tried pet silk which I didnt like at all! I also dont like any brands from petsmart. Before I started buying "special" brands, I tried all those before I knew I really like the happytails on both Maya and Rocky, Haley the vitacoat will always work best. I still would like to try the plush puppy. |

| Brooke! I still haven't bought Cloey her own Shampoo yet.. and you know.. her coat is getting more dull by the minute.. a lot of people say.. i've never seen a lemon colored Maltese before lol.. I'm currently using the CC's on all three of the furkids, but it only seems to work well with Ginger.. it makes Oreo's fur very soft though.. But doesn't do anything for Cloey at all.. I'll try the happytails sparkle and shine spritzer for in between baths.. but what do you recommend as a shampoo? and my gosh let me tell you about these Mats she's been getting.. I don't know HOW she gets so matted after a bath!! |

| lol Khristine that is funny. If I dont give Maya a bath every other week atleast she looks really dull. Gosh I have been so busy so I havent been able to send you a sample of that bluing shampoo, but actually last night I used that Sparkle & Shine and it really works! I called the lady who owns the company where I order and she had a maltese as welL! She said the same thing, she doesnt use conditioner either, that shampoo isnt harsh so if you just use the shampoo and after they get out spray them with the detangler they are so soft. maya is really fluffy today. Im so bad, i got my order in last week and ordered so much, and Im such an addict that I Have been through everything and will need to order again. I used the dog smog for haley's breath lol, the dry dog instant clean for Rocky because he goes swimming a lot and its hard to give him a bath everytime so we just rinse him off with water, and then that sparkle and shine stuff for MAya. I want to see pics of Cloey. Email me so I can get you out that stuff, I need your addy again. I keep Maya's hair short, maltese hair is difficult long and I dont have 3 hours a day to brush it BTW- Rocky has a silky coat and Haley has a cottony coat. Maya has a soft soft coat that LOVEs to mat!! |

| I'm wanting so many of these products! My wish list is growing every day. I use Petsilk on both Pixie and Tuffy and haven't been all too pleased with how it's working on either one. Tuffy mats really easy and the only thing that helps cut down on after the bath mats is the conditioner that comes with the Feria hair dye. It makes him super soft, almost mat free and he smells great. I like their whitening shampoo for once a month baths to keep him looking shiny. Have any of you tried a whitening shampoo on your Yorkies? I used the Petsilk one on Pixie and she came out so super shiny and it really brightened up her gold. I just hated the way it made her hair feel dry so I had to use a lot of conditioner to counteract it. I wish I could find a shampoo that would brighten her up and soften her hair without making her oily.

| Brooke, Thank you so much for the input on the grroming products. Gucci's hair is cottony. Im using an Otameal Shampoo for her allergies but i will like to use something that is also good for her coat. I will have to try the "Vitacoat" shampoo and conditioner. Is this what you use for Haley? They carry products for specifics breeds. I tried to post the link for the Yorkie's products but is not working. Last edited by Marie; 07-21-2005 at 08:17 PM. |
