| How can I keep his teeth white? My Yorkie just had his teeth cleaned and they are pearly white. Now that they are so clean how can I keep them that way? I use Petzlife spray and gel, is that enough? Should I buy an electric toothbrush to help brush his teeth or will he freak out at the sound of that? Also, besides bully sticks what other treats are good at cleaning teeth? |

| There are various kinds of dental doggie bones which help for tartar or to keep their teeth white, to help their breath smell fresher, etc. The best way, of course, is to brush their teeth. I use a fingertip toothbrush for Jake, and he doesn't mind that so much. His teeth stay white all the time. |

| Petzlife should do it if you are good about using it consistently. I personally don't think an electric toothbrush is necessary. I use a kid's toothbrush, one that is small and has soft bristles. |

| Mine have beautiful, pearly white teeth. My toy poodle has such a tiny mouth that she didn't have room for all her permanent teeth to grow in and had to have back molars removed at 9 months to make room in her mouth. Vet said she would likely need frequent dentals just because her mouth was so small it would be hard to keep the teeth clean. They eat Primal frozen raw food. I know it's the bones in raw feeding that are supposed to keep the teeth cleaner but I think the raw food makes a difference too. We use these treats - Tropican dental chews - they get one every evening. Amazon I'm also pretty good at daily brushing with Tropiclean gel, and if I'm going to be away and can't for some reason I use the Tropiclean water additive. It's been two years since the poodle with the tiny mouth has had a dental and she doesn't have a speck of tartar. Diana |

| 107barney, I hope your dogs love them as much as mine do. Those treats are the last thing they get before bedtime and they will NOT let me forget. My littlest one knows its bedtime when she sees me turning out the lights. She'll run up on the bed, and sit there on her hind legs like a little chipmunk - waiting - no matter how long it takes me! Amazon is the cheapest place to order them. The same bag is about $20 at Petco. I hate it when I forget to order them! Diana |

I give these to Sherman all the time, they work wonders for his teeth and I usually buy them from Amazon.com. Second I would suggest Leba III oral spray, just spray it on and it does all the work, no brushing needed, also on Amazon, can be expensive though. lasty, maybe my favorite are Ora-Clens pads, they are almost like Stridex pads, you can brush with them and they are easy on the gums and easy to brush.

I use these every other day, you can get them from amazon, they are great. Also I would suggest a spray called Leba III, can just spray it on, no need to brush and it does all the work, can be expensive though, amazon as well and lastly I really like Ora-Clens wipes, can also get them from amazon. They are almost look like stridex pads, just put one on your pointer finger and brush with them, really easy, and easy on the gums too. hope this helps!
