| Merrick May Not Be Telling The Truth About Products I was really concerned when I read the forum on ITCHMO about Garth Merrick and the Merrick Co. Seems that he owns a "rendering" plant that uses "dead" animal carcasses. Please read all the threads and the links and decide for yourself. I just ordered LovingPets All Natural Beef Snack, and it had mold in it!!! My Spencer had soft mucous poop for 2 days now. More horrifying: the distributor is in NJ, but bag says, "MADE IN CHINA"!!! I home cook and make treats with non-grain flour, but the boys like to chew on something so I order "natural" meat treats. The love Merrick's Texas Toothpicks, but now I'm concerned about that and everything else! Here's the Itchmo forums link, and please read the links on it. http://64.79.216.38/~itchmo/forums/index.php?topic=220.0rev_next=next#new

| Rendering plants do not pay to have people bring them any dogs, cats or any other animal. They pick up all the dead animals from Vets. offices, lab animals, farm animals and road kill. Most of these animals died of diseases and chemicles, and boiling does NOT kill these harmful chemicles. Ever wonder why these rendering plants won't give tours to let you see how their products are made? |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Great I switched mine to Merricks wet a few weeks ago. I am also giving them Solid Gold kibble and Innova wet and cooking hamburger and chicken. I don't want them eating just one brand with this nightmare recall. This is so wrong!!!

| I have decided that all dog food stinks!! We've started homecooking for our babies, and they're happier than ever. Miko, my liver compromised, yorkie is doing better than ever, healthwise. I'm so happy to see my babies like this.

| Excuse me, but I did not see any proof that what was rendered was actually put into the Merrick pet food. By the way, do you know what is in the food that YOU eat and believe is healthy for your pets? That Melamine is in the human food chain. I don't think any food is safe unless you grow it yourself, and hope that a cow farm is not upstream from you. Just my two cents.

| My Mom and I were in the process of switching our dogs over to home cooked. I had to leave town for a week for work so Mom started Prince & Angel on home cooked meals when her dogs switched. She had a can of Merricks and fed some of it to Prince because he wouldn't eat what she cooked. He threw up for 24 hours after eating Merricks. Prince had been fine before he ate the Merricks and has not thrown up at all since that episode. |
