| Dental Health OK....First, let me admit that I am a BAD puppy parent. Whereas, Miss Chelsea, our 35 pound mixed breed terrier gets her teeth brushed on a more or less regular basis (she loves the attention), Maggie never has. While Maggie may seem to be the gentlest, sweetest soul in the world, just try to get her to open her mouth!!!!!!!! She turns into the raging beast! As a consequence of my inability to train her (even with a finger brush....I truly did try), it was necessary for me to take her recently to have her teeth cleaned. (Fortunately she didn't lose any in the process). When we left the vet gave us a sample bottle of Oxyfresh Pet Oral Hygiene Solution, which is something you add to the pet's water to help keep their teeth clean. (It's like a teaspoon per quart of water that you use). He also gave me a small tube of Oxyfresh Pet Gel (something you can either rub on their gums (if they will let you into their mouths) or just put on the tip of their nose for them to lick off. Again, it's supposed to keep the tarter down. Anyway, before I go and buy a bunch of this stuff (Oxyfresh does have website where you can order the products for MUCH LESS than what the vet's office wants to charge), I thought I'd ask whether anyone else has heard of the product and/or uses it? It doesn't seem to contain anything that can harm these little guys, and anything that'll help keep the teeth clean in a breed known for dental problems seems a good thing. Any thoughts?????????? |

| I dont use this products, but im seriously considering it. Gucci fights me like crazy when i brush her teeth. SO in addition of me trying to brush her teeth this products will really guarantee that her teeth will be healthy. TY for sharing the info. Gucci needs some teeth pull. I wonder if the vet can clean the teeth at the same time. |

| That's good info, we'd like to know if it works too. Yoda still fights us brushing his teeth every night, and even though we do it every night, last time he went to the vet (last week or so), the vet said that he needs his teeth cleaned, especially his back teeth we can't get to very well. The vet suggested a cleaning at least once a year, but they do put him under anesthesia, which still worries me a bit whenever they have to do that... |

| I ordered the Oxy Fresh for Mackenzie about a week ago, the one you add to the water. I noticed a difference right away in her breath. There are times when I do detect an odor from her mouth, but nothing like it was before I started using the Oxy Fresh. So I think its pretty good stuff. I do think that brushing is something that needs to be done. I consider this like a pet version of mouth wash...good for the teeth, gums and breath...but ya still need to brush
