| Shots I was in a pet supply store the other day and I found some information about "Mobile preventive Veterinary Services" that go to pet supply stores and give "low cost" vaccinations. Do you think it is okay to get the shots/medicines through them or would you stick with a vet? |

| I think it should be just fine. Most places they have to be licensed. I have a friend who is a retired vet tech. She and a vet do low cost spay and neuter clinics once a month on cats. They also do low cost vaccinations once or twice a year. Ellie: |

| I, personally, would stay with a vet. There are various manufacturers of vaccines and not all are as good. Also proper handling and storage of vaccines is very important. Your vet is going to have more knowledge - like not giving Lepto to a Yorkie pup. Your vet will access whether the pup is healthy and should be given a vaccine. What you are talking about is an assembly line with no inidividual attention. You might be saving a little bit, but you are getting what you are paying for and nothing more. |

| I got Scampers a set of shots from a low cost vaccination clinic at a pet store. They did great, and they were very knowledgable. It was a regular vet with his assistents. They did such a great job and it really saved money!! I would atleast check it out. After all if you don't like what you hear or see, you can always leave.
