Right now I am feeding Natural Balance but the fact they sold out to Del Monte makes me very uncomfortable plus the customer service is horrid..

Yes I do remember reading something about the kibble being very crunchy and brittle causing a lot of breakage leading to dust in the bottom of the bag but the company fixed that issue with a formula change so I wrote to the company and asked them and this is the response.. Flint River Ranch Pet Food , Yes! After receiving waves of feedback regarding the fragility of the kibble pieces, Flint River Ranch took action to develop a new way of manufacturing the kibble in order to keep them from becoming crushed during transit. All of our super premium kibble formulas are now slowly baked in carefully formed kibble shapes so that every bite is consistently crunchy, substantial, and delicious. The ingredients and texture haven’t changed – and dogs of all sizes are lovin’ the new shapes! Most dog foods are quickly extruded at high temperatures into uniform shapes; Flint River Ranch is unique: we minimize processing and slowly bake our food in an oven just like grandmother did, naturally. Baking maximizes digestibility and palatability, creating the ultimate food for your dog. Let me know if you have any more questions -- we're happy to help! Happy New Year!

| This food looks great but the website is plain terrible to navigate and read. When you go to the page for a certain formula, at the bottom of the page, there's a link that says "Click here for detailed information about Original Puppy and Adult Kibble Dog Food." Flint River Ranch Dog Food and Cat Food - All Natural Super Premium Health Food (866)236-5102 You have to scroll all the way to the bottom for the ingredients. Kinda have to click a lot lol |

| Update So I decided to give the FRR a try .. I ordered the Lamb & Rice Kibble .. The kibble smells so good and has a nice fresh smell .. The kibble is not super hard and not crumbly at all since FRR changed the cooking process. My dogs have been eating it for a week now . Everyone is doing great .. No tummy troubles except a little soft poo . I did do a transition of about 5 days but they were much better on just the FRR... Now solid poos.. I really like this company , they answered all my questions and the customer service is excellent .. I switched my cats to FRR as well , they love it and they are super picky. |
