| Things for 7 week old puppy? Many people have recently suggested getting Nutrical for Zoey! We're picking some up today but I was wondering what else you all would recommend for keeping this young tiny puppy happy and healthy? Here's what we already have: Pee pee pads Baby food (vet prescribed we will later start feeding her puppy science diet) Food and water dishes "excersize pen" Blankets and stuffed animals Bed Yes she is only 7 weeks but the vet has already checked her out and this is the best environment that she could live in. Has anyone else raised a very young puppy? We have everything the vet said we would need but I'm just wondering if you guys have any suggestions based on your own experiences? |

| I had my dog Dabny for 20 years and I got him when he was 4 weeks old. He was so little. I did hair at the time and I was talking to a client and she said her neighbors dog was rejecting the puppies and her neighbor could not take care of them. I went over and took one look at him and swept him up and starting taking care of the little guy. I fed him every 3 hours with a bottle. One of the things I bought was a little bear that had a heartbeat inside. I think it really helped him feel secure and he would fall asleep and snuggle it. It took a lot of time and patience but I had little Dabny for 20 years! Actually he died just 2 weeks before his 20th birthday. He was a wonderful dog! It sounds like you have everything you need. Just keep a good eye on your puppy and make sure she is getting enough food and fluids. Give her lots of love and be patient. |
