I've mixed the W/D with his old food in it and he ate some yesterday but I had to spoon feed him also to get him to eat. Not doing that today. He can starved |

| That's what Tibbe does when he's not feeling well, as do I. When I feel bad, I don't eat, especially if I'm nauseated. GI problems are slow to get over so he could be having an irritation in his stomach or intestine/colon causing a little kink, spasm or gas or something else upsetting his stomach. If he eats, he could throw up so be sure he's hydrated & call the vet if he goes too long. If he's hypoglycemic, better treat for that. I went through over 6 weeks of Tibbe having days like yours is. He had another one yesterday - he ate but just not much. Today he pigged out. Crystal/Ellie May taught me getting over an IBS bout can be slow, up & down, come & go for quite a while.

Nothing is wrong with the little guy. He's had bloody stool from a food I switched him too, but he hasn't had that in like a couple weeks. I've had eating issues since he was a pup and my friend told me then when he wouldn't eat to switch. So when he won't eat, I've switched. That is like months or bag or two after, perhaps a 1/2 bag but not every week. He's active, running and drinking water...no problems otherwise. | |

| He could still be having GI problems without having a bloody stool. But when Tibbe was having the GI probs, he was mostly lying around & would play only parts of the day. But he still had that mucus covering on his stool so I knew he still was/is having some probs when that is there. If yours isn't spitting up foam/bile, vomiting, refusing water, having gas, loud tummy sounds or funky looking stools, bowing/stretching abnormally, etc., maybe he is a picky eater who loves variety. Have you tried soaking & microwaving the food to see if he will eat it that way, after it's cooled? Even when Tibbe was ill I got him to eat when I cooked his food this way. Tibbe does just have days though where he doesn't eat much at all. Others he eats 3 times a day! He definitely changed once he began having his problems with his tummy and his patterns of eating are different now.

My furkids Donating Member | I had a real picky eater...changing foods all the time won't help...will just make him pickier...I FINALLY found a food that she would eat...Merricks grammies pot pie and top it with wellness 95% chicken..but, she still only picked...until we got Lillie...guess she thought if she didn't eat she wouldn't get any! LOL

| Tibbe totally ate nothing but his junky Iams and self-fed - kept food down for him all the time but once he got ill & had bad tummy problems and we changed to good food, he's picky at times. He's not the eater that he was. He loved that Iams, I guess like I love cheeseburgers & fries more than green beans & baked fish!

| If its just being a picky eater, have you thought about getting samples to see what he likes? Mine are picky eaters too so I understand. And it is frustrating. Also heard Parmesan cheese makes them want to eat it. But I don't know about using it all the time.
