| I just had Scout groomed for the first time last week. I am attaching before and after pics. I was very happy with the job they did. I chose a groomer that does mostly small dogs and alot of Yorkies. I thought they did really good. I have taken Pippa to another groomer who didn't do as good, but was alot cheaper. Let me warn you, though...the first time it is always a shock to see your little one groomed. They look so different and you miss the cute little face you were used to looking at, at first. I think Scout is much happier with hair out of his eyes!

| Awwww, Scout is adorable! His before picture is exactly what Pixie looks like right now.... I was just playing with her a few minutes ago and though how much I'd miss her puppy look. Her hair is starting to change colors, she won't be black/white (the top of her head is silver right now) anymore. I'll probably put off her first grooming as long as I can just because of that.... I called my vet to ask about prices today (they do everything there, emergency care, boarding, grooming, etc). They said it would around $32 for a bath, blow dry, nail trimming, ear cleaning & hair cut. Could be more, could be less, depending on the dog (mats, no cut required, etc). I didn't think that was too bad. I think I'll still call a couple other places though. Maybe Pixie and I will go tour a salon or two before we make a decision. |

| How old is Pixie??? My pups are eight months old now. I took them for their first grooming apt. about one month ago but I stood right there and only let her take a smidgen, and I mean a little smidgen , off of their skirt to straighten it up, trim the scraggly hairs around their feet and tail and tip their ears. They didn't lose much puppy hair at all and cutting that little bit off made a big difference!!! I just love that baby hair and I'm going to keep it as long as I can Here is a before and after picture of Charlie: She only charged me 10 bucks for both! I had bathed them before I went.

| Really! Do you have a picture?? The hair on the boys is a little thin I think...not sure if that makes any difference.

| I'll post pictures as soon as I figure out how.... The hair on top of her head is pretty thin. I'm sure it'll be just beautiful and silky once it's all grown in.... Her body is still kind of fluffy, but she's getting her silky hair underneath now. So it kind of wants to lay pretty, but then it fluffs out at the ends... And with the way she runs around the house chasing our one cat, the ends get tangled up so fast (just the ends though, there's no problems closer to her skin), so I'm tempted to just have 'em cut all her fluff off. I don't know, maybe I'm just being too picky about how she looks. I'm afraid she's going to get all these painful mats... Which probably won't happen 'cuz I'm always brushing her! I'll probably end up being one of those that takes their dog to the groomers every 2 weeks or so! (God knows I go get my own hair cut enough.....) |

| Thank you for the compliments on Scout...His little hair cut has grown on me and I think he's utterly adorable now that he's used to it, too. His little bright eyes are right out there and easy to see. The salon here charged me $35.00 and recommended he come back every 6 wks. Pippa's groomer is at a vet office and they charged me only $19.00 because she was clean and no mats. Apparently they charge you more for mats and such..? Anyway, I'm so satisfied with Scout's cut, I will take them both there next time. You can really tell they do alot of Yorkies, and there's even a Yorkie on their business card. Be sure to post pics of Pixie when after!!

| *** BUMP *** All right guys, I posted pics of Pixie in the "My Yorkie" section... Who thinks she needs a trim? Now keep in mind these pics are over a week old, I swear he her hair is twice as long now! (Ok, that may be an overstatement....) I may take her in for a "Puppy Grooming". I guess it includes a bath, nail trim, and a tiny hair cut. Just a way to get pups accustomed to grooming at an early age... I think it's a good idea! |

| Well Missy went for her 1st grooming this morning. The groomer said she did well. The groomer did a great job & only charged $10.00. She doesn't take any new ones unless recommended by someone that already goes to her. She's really good. We've been taking Muffie to her for a few years. She trimmed the hairs around Missy's eyes, tipped her ears, got hair out of ears, did between her toes, under her tail & on her tummy. She looks so nice & neat. We don't have a digital camera so by the time I take pictures & get them developed, she'll be grown out more. Missy is 12 weeks old today. She did great riding in the "cage" for the 1st time in the car. We had her cage facing Muffie's cage so they could see each other.
