| What could suddenly be upsetting my dogs stomach? Hi! We have moved houses a few weeks ago, so this could all be due to stress. The only reason I say it isn't is because we have been here for quite some time and this JUST started this last week. My dog has COMPLETELY lost every knowledge of potty training with her pad... so I'm working on that but I have noticed her poop being VERY soft and just not like it normally does, like she has an upset stomach? There hasn't been a food change... I thought at first it was just her getting into cat food but I have been sure shes not getting into that... I just have NO idea what to do. I am losing my marbles with her between the potty training ALL over again and then noticing her bowel movements are looking ill. Could it be that shes drinking tap instead of fridge water? Orr.. maybe the cat has brought something? Just any ideas or help on what I could do is great! Thanks!

| Have you recently bought a new bag of the food they are used to eating? Sometimes there can be small variables in food from one batch to the next and even though it's still the same food it can upset your dog's stomach. Was the house you moved into thoroughly cleaned and disinfected before you moved in? Had the yard recently been sprayed or new carpet installed? Are you in a different area where the water could be making a difference in them? |

| Hard to tell what causes the changes. However, if her poop is soft there could be a bacterial infection. Might want to get her to a vet as a bacterial infection will not go away on its own. Good luck to you !! |

| If you want to be on the safe side, I'd take a fecal sample to the vet just to check for infections or parasites. Better to be safe than sorry...especially since diarrhea/loose stools are symptoms of parvo, coccidia, and giardia of which none are pleasant. However, I know that Milli gets an upset stomach when she drinks water that's not from home. Not necessarily 'bad' water...just any water that her tummy isn't used to. Someone here recommended that we try using a product called Forti-Flora. It's like a probiotic for dogs. We used that for about a week and haven't had any trouble since! I keep packets of it on hand for when we go anywhere new. If we do, I just add a packet to her food for an intestinal 'booster' and she does wonderfully! Maybe it would help your little one as well. Best wishes and congratulations on your new home! |

| i hope she's feeling better; it's best to take her to the vet for a check up. it could be stress colitis due to moving; it could take some time before showing symptoms. try feeding a bland diet for a week or so ( i feed ground turkey and oatmeal) it's good for the stomach. also u can give 1/4 tab of pepcid. good luck.
