| Knees that pop out of socket??? Took Paris to the vet for six month check up everything was good but of course she has not lost her teeth, she has the 4 baby canine teeth and the 4 adult teeth. We are going to give it two more months and then they will have to be pulled. But the doctor also thought she might have knees that pop out of socket, she said they are starting to see this more and more in the little dogs. Has anyone heard of this? The vet said obviously don't let her jump of furniture etc ( we are trying really hard) and watch her weight. None of my dogs are overweight so I think we will be good there. I asked if there was anything else we needed to do and why this was not found on our initial visit and she said she can't be positive and sometimes it is not found until it happens. (I am obviously not taking her back I did not buy her to show etc) She is having no problems she is very active etc. Just wanted to know more about it. Donating YT 4000 Club Member | It's called Luxating patella or LP. If you scroll down to the bottom of the page you will see a search bar. Type in the term and highlight the "on yorkietalk.com" button and you should be able to pull up quite a few threads about it.

| Thanks, I will call the vet tomorrow she did not say she definitely had it nor did she tell me a grade or call it that. Regardless I do think I want to look into the supplements just to be save. She did say she did not notice it at her first check-up. I have not noticed any limping, bowleggedness etc. |

I now watch carefully what and how much I feed him and I do give him supplements, but weight either makes or breaks it for Kaji. That's my personal experience with it.
