| My little baby made "hacking"sounds.. Bailey is 11 weeks and was playing rather furiously.. Running back and forth between me and my boyfriend.. We were throwing a long plushy fox to eachother.. So after 7 minutes, Bailey stocks, aims his head down and hacks. Nothing comes out.. He just makes this hacking sound. It scared me so much. I remembered Lexi hacking like this.. But her heart was weak.. Is my baby weak too? |

| hacking? or reverse sneezing??? sort of like a snorting sound? If it is reverse sneezing it is nothing to worry about. You can just gently massage his throat until the spasm stops. Here is a video of reverse sneezing:

| no it wasn't reverse sneezing.. It really sounded like a cackling sound or a hacking.. I made him stop playing and let him drink water and eat a bit. It went away. great.. I just saw my little baby hump a plush tree trunk. This I don't need!! My bf is laughing! D-: gross! |

| Winnie does this too. I just assume it is because they are running around so much and can't catch their breath. She would be running around in the yard chasing another dog then she stops hacks and runs around some more. Nothing would come up it just clears the throat. I am not worried. |

Poppy's Mamma ♥ Donating Member | It may have been because of the toy, sometimes when Poppy plays with her plush toys she hacks usually just the once and I think maybe she got some fluff from the toy in her throut or something because she never does it will her balls or anything. Just keep an eye on him but I dont think its anything serious if he isnt doing it all the time.
