| Worming *sigh Holly has worms. Its says to mix the powder with some canned food for 3 days. The first day she ate almost all of it. The second day, no, not even in milk or peanut butter. Can I just mix it with some milk and give it to her in a syringe? Just shoot it right down her throat? I Hate to do that but I dont know how else to get it in her. She is wise.

YT Addict | How do you know she has worms? I let the vet give Cooper Dewormer. I've never dewormed with the powder. Maybe someone will be able to help.

| I know because I saw them and she's been doing the butt scoot. I cant afford to take her to the vet. I could put the powder in a capsule and give it to her too

| Do you know what kind of worms she has? You treat different types of worms with different wormers. I have never heard of a powdered wormer for dogs before. I understand about $$ being tight, perhaps you could take a stool sample in to determine what type of worms she has and then purchase the proper type of wormer from the vet. Giving the wrong meds, an improper dosage, or the right meds the wrong way can lead to disaster. |

| Do you think your pup has tapeworms of some other type of worm? If it is tapeworm, be aware that there are two kinds of tapeworms. One is caused by ingesting an infected flea, and the other kind is caused when a dog eats infected vermin (mice, rats, etc). The OTC treatment ONLY works on the type of tapeworm that is caused by eating infected vermin, NOT the type that is contracted by eating an infected flea. The treatment for that type is by prescription only, so you would have to go to a Vet. If your dog has a tapeworm and hasn't been eating mice, it is a safe assumption that he has the type contracted by ingesting fleas and needs to see a vet.

| When one of my pups had tapeworms (from fleas), I called the vet that she had seen previously and they had me pick up the medication (1/2 of a pill) appropriate for her weight. Didn't even have to take her in for that, it was about $10. Try calling your vet, they may do the same. It doesn't take an exam, just describe what you are seeing.

| Its so disgusting I dont even want to say how she may have gotten them. They couldve come from fleas though too although they didnt look like Hook worms which is what comes from fleas and causes there to be a small amount of mucous y blood in the stool. These must be tape worms. *BLEAH!
