I Got My New Baby Today!!! Yeaaaaaaa!! I picked up my new baby, "KK", today. She weighs 1lb 5oz and will be 8 weeks next Wednesday. She is playing and doing great. She met her big sisters, Jezebel the Lab and Sissy the Doberman and they all kissed and sniffed. She is now happily sleeping in her new crate and loves all her new toys!!! They said because of the eating problems they only let me have her because I am a nurse and former Yorkie mom. Otherwise they would have made someone else wait 2 more weeks. They were feeding her food from Shoneys along with baby rice cereal, canned cream, Walmart canned puppy food and giving her Nutrical. She stopped eating Science Diet. I think I can get her to eat something a little more nutritious!! I am so happy to finally have her. Her daddy was having fun with her too. Will post pictures soon!! She is smaller than daddy's hand!!! KK'sMom

| Oh great news!!! I remember your previous post full heartedly trying to convince this breeder that you indeed were worthy of taking great care of KK, and you did it!! Congratulations on little KK, I am thrilled for you! You sound like you are going to be an awesome Mommy to KK. Sure look forward to seeing pictures!

Congratulations on getting KK! I bet she's going to be a lot of fun. Yes, I think that you could do a better job of finding better food for her then Shoneys and wal-mart brand. I think that a lot of dogs don't care for the science diet either. Try a better grade of food, either NB, Wellness, or Natrual Choice, etc. My boys in the morning get about 2Tbsp. of Wellness canned and they just love it! I figure all night without eating they need an extra boost in the morning...Theresa & The Boys

Congrats on the new addition! My mother is also a registered nurse (retired) and kind of a doggie midwife. She just added a 3rd pup, a Yorkie that lost her eye in an accident . She has a happy home now though . Have a great time with KK!

KK is doing great! Already going potty outside when I take her!! Had a little constipation at first but a little Karo syrup fixed that. She is already crying for me when I leave the room. Today she finally ventured onto the hardwood floors. Yesterday she wouldn't get off the area rug. The big dogs seem to know she is a baby are being very gentle. The dobie seems to take more interest. Jezebel the lab is such a granny now she just looks at us like,"how many more of these things are you going to bring home?". But the good thing is that these puppies have gotten her more active! KK does seem to be a bit finicky when it comes to eating but so far so good.
