| Am I not feeding my Yorkie enough? Hi everyone. I've been trying to refrain from asking too many questions and go through the old posts to try and find out info but theres just a few things I need specific help on. So here is my question, when I got my yorkie a while ago the breeder said to feed her about 1tablespoon-2 tablespoons of crushed moistened high quality kibble. And to give her a small lick of nutrical a couple times a week. She is now around a week too two weeks older and she still seems hungry after 2 1/2 tablespoons? should I give her more? also she had a huge tummy when we got her so the doctors thought she had worms but It was just the food. She's a GOOD eater she's like a bottomless pit. During the transition from that week to this one though her stomach has gone down allot I dont know if that makes a difference but I did notice that after her first time having 2 1/2 tablespoons (today for lunch) that her stomach was puffy again.. lol. Anyways I know allot of you, especially the breeders might know if this is normal or if I am giving her to much or too little? also (uhg I'm sorry I keep rambling but I'm just putting all the information out there so I don't leave anything that might be needed out) I switched puppy food on her and it was a little harsh for her because I only could streach her previous food 3 days (long story) so she went through a diarrhea stage and she didnt like the new food unless I put chicken broth in it. But now she loves it and will eat it plain,un-moistened, or just with water. well thats what I need help on. thanks so much for taking the time to read this =D |

| Hi, I am no breeder but when I brought Pixie home she was 8 weeks old and I gave her 1/4 of a cup of dry moistend kibble 4 times a day and at night I made sure that she had dog food in her crate. She would never eat all of it so I would let her snack when she was hungry. Now she is 14 weeks and I give her about 1/4 cup 3 times a day and she eats it all. I still give her food and water in her crate. When Pixie came home she weighed 1.3 lbs and now she weighs 2.7 lbs. I wanted to make sure she never got hypoglycemic. I don't know how much your baby weighs now. I just think the amount of food the breeder reccommended seems too little to me.

What food are you feeding her? (Different brands have different caloric numbers per cup so that changes things too sometimes.) | |

| She was 1 pound 9 oz when I got her. She is probobly about 2 pounds + now I have to weigh her again. And I'm currently feeding her Nutra Ultra Holistic Puppy Food. She loves it. I fed her more just now since it sounds like I should be giving her more. i gave it too her in a bigger bowl but she didnt seem to interested but I put 4 tblspoons in and she ate about half of it so far |
