| 1 yr old sick Ollie! I got a yorkie about 5 weeks ago. He is a 4.5 lb, 1 year old and came with a bill of health from the vet. I also got him checked at my vet and they said he was healthy. He seems like a sick dog to me! After getting neutered he got colitis which was treated with antibiotics. He was good for a while after that, and now seems sick again. For the past 3 days he has thrown up and had diarhhea, but only about once a day. He continues to eat and drink though and gets sickest at night. Yesterday he was very tired and slept most of the day. This morning he threw up again and had diarrhea, but he has his energy back and looks happy. Should I be worried? He was just at the vet 2 weeks ago and had his stools checked and was fine. |

| A suggestion.....post this in the sick section. Guess I'd be back at the vet. Something isn't right with your baby.

| You need to get him back at the vet. Doesn't matter if you were just there two weeks ago. Even if they cannot find anything "wrong," per-se, they can provide you with an anti-nausea and anti-diarrheal that will not only make him feel better, but can help prevent hemorrhagic gastroenteritis (bloody diarrhea) that can make him very, very ill. There is an underlying cause to his GI problems, whether it be he has gotten into something, has an intolerance to something or has a virus/parasite. Please update on the pup, I hope you got him in.

| They fit Ollie into the vet today and I left him while I went back to work so he could get some liquids into him. They put him on Metronidazole and Prednisolone and gave some probiotics to sprinkle on his food. They are hoping that he has a bacteria imbalance, or maybe still fighting his recovery from getting neutered 2.5 weeks ago. He has eaten hamburg and rice which is good because he lost a quarter pound and is down to 4 now. He seems so skinny! Hopefully he recovers and does not have a chronic issue |
