| Teddy is Sick! Help my poor teddy is sick he is a 13 week old puppy and has been throwing up since noon today. Last night he was perfectly fine and this morning he was fine. Until I came home to check on him I noticed he was a rather down so I tried to cheer him up he tried too but you could just tell he was not well so I started watching him closely and noticed that when I took him outside he had a little watery stool. Then we went inside and he started throwing up. It was clear and had a bit of his puppy food in it. Should I take him to the vet? |

| I'd take him to the vet. These little babies can dehydrate very quickly and it's coming out of both ends for your poor baby. I really think he needs to see a vet. I'm sending hugs and prayers!

| I spoke to the vet and they said he may have an upset stomach and to monitor him closely. I asked them if it could be parvo but they said most likely its not since he has had his shots. They also told me to give him pedialite to keep him hydrated. I am going to give teddy pedialite and continue calling different vets. to see what others have to say. Thank you for keeping my teddy in your prayers. |

| Last Saturday my yorkie was throwing up ,too. On Friday he did not want to eat his regular food. I took him to the Vet. He recommended to feed him with a bland diet consisting of 2/3 cooked rice, and 1/3 low fat cottage cheese or yogurt or boiled chicken for 2 or 3 days. Pedialite is very good , too. After 2 days, he was doing great and eating his regular food. |

| Teddy is much better I am proud to say that Teddy is so much better I got home and teddy seemed better I still gave him the pedialite and called the vet explaining to them that he was doing better and seemed to act as he was fine they told me to wait a couple of hours to see if he throws up again. They said if he didnt he most likely may have eaten something or just had an upset stomach. Happy to say within the two hours teddy was eating normal food and playing and really just acting his Teddy self... Oh I am so relieved and am still watching him closely but diahrrea and vomiting stopped completely my Teddy is doing so much better. Thank you all for giving me support and help... |

| I am so glad Teddy is doing better! i am surprised the vet would tell you that it could not of been parvo! Because even though a puppy has had all it's shots the pup could still get parvo. Esp. in a 13week old baby. That is very young to have already all the vaccines. Even a dog that is over a year can still come down with parvo. Sometimes the shots do not take, because the mothers immunity blocks the vaccines from taking . That is why they do it in a set of three. And not to give the shots too early.
