| Does anyone else feed their yorkie primal? i used to feed milu nature's variety raw medallions. but i have recently switched to primal. it's a little bit easier for me because i only have to feed her 1 nugget per day as opposed to 2 medallions. this is convenient since milu hates dog food. i have a question about feeding eggs. it says to supplement with eggs weekly on primal's website. but i don't understand if i am supposed to cook the egg or serve it raw. does anyone know? thanks!!! this is what it says on the website. Eggs If your dog is not allergic, we recommend incorporating one whole organic egg yolk into your dog’s Primal Canine Formula two days per week for added amino acids. If your dog has a very tolerant stomach, you may include the eggshell, but be sure to crush the shell into small pieces for easier digestion. Feeding, Transition and Safety for Raw Dog Food Diets

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | You could feed egg raw or cooked, whichever way she likes it . As for the 1 vs. 2 - both the medallions and nuggets are each 1oz, aren't they? So, I was confused as to switching from 2 medallions to one nugget...or do I have it wrong ?

| well. the bag says that the nuggets are 1 oz each, and it says on the feeding instruction to feed a 5 lb dog 2 nuggets per day. so since milu is 3 lbs i thought 1 nugget is enough. and i used the calculator on their website, and it says 1.2 nuggets.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I always go by the calculator first, then "feed to condition" (meaning, feed more/less than the recommendation based on the way the body feels to you). If you want her to gain weight, you could feed 1.5 nuggets per day...? Marcel is 3lbs and I give him about 2.3 oz per day (so, a little over 2 "nuggets") and his body is slim, but nice and solid....he likes to maintain his athletic cut .

i prepare one bite at a time for her. and she runs away from me when i am getting her next bite of food ready! i will try though. sometimes i get really discouraged and i stop trying so hard, and other times i am motivated to cater to her... p.s. the reason i do one bite at a time is because if i didn't do that, she makes a big mess of it.(not because i am crazy!!!) and it's very gross when it's raw meat.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Let's hope not. I swear some day you will find that magic bullet for her...I just don't know what it will be. Filet Mignon? Caviar? Maybe she wants sushi or Dim Sum. Maybe she's a VEGAN...oh man...that'd be a lot of work.
