| I need help finding a dental chew that's safe for my girls HELP! Any suggestions? All the ones that I've found are full of corn, wheat, soy, wheat gluten, and chicken. My girls can't have any of these things. When I did try some Hartz dental treats on them, they got all itchy They were full of corn But they DID help their breath a lot! I brush, use petzlife, and they eat their DVP grain free kibble. WHY do they have poopy breath then?!?! And no, they do not eat their poop There has to be a dental treat out there somewhere! I can't give them bully sticks anymore, they fight over them and plus they don't even help at all anyway. *sigh* Perhaps I'll need to make our own dental treats somehow? I'd be willing to try that if anyone has a recipe. TIA

| I give Noelle the Nylabone Nutri Dent Dental Chews. They come in a small size and she really loves them. Her breath doesn't smell bad so it's probably due to those. Have you tried them yet? |

| Thanks Haven't tried those yet, I'll have to go to the store and read the ingredients. Before I knew how dangerous Greenies were, I used to give them to my first Yorkie girl Her breath never stank, but now I won't even consider giving those to my girlies. I'd be too afraid of them choking I have to find something though, they are KILLING me with that stankmouth

| Have you considered or looked into Zukes Z-Ridge. I have yet to try them for my puppy, I should get some this weekend. Here's the ingredients for the Original Fresh Breath Potato Starch, Vegetable Glycerin, Cellulose Fiber, Alfalfa Concentrate (a source of Chlorophyll), Natural Flavor, Lecithin, Whey, Vanilla Extract, Clove Powder, Parsley Powder, Nutmeg Powder and Fennel Seed Powder. I don't know if any of those ingredients bother your pups. Zukes Z–Ridge – Dental Bones for Dogs I hope this helps!

| What about just plain old bully sticks? The braided ones from Westbrookdog.com really seem to clean the teeth, as there is all sorts of gaps and groves for their little teeths Ryder's are getting super clean now that he's been in jail for two weeks with nothing to do but chew bullys

They've always had bad breath They both had retained puppy teeth removed when they were spayed, so that's not it I really should brush their teeth more, I do it twice a week at least, but they HATE it and it's especially hard with Miss Luna because her mouth is so darned small. They also both get spritzed with PetzLife. Their teeth appear to be pretty clean, though they could be better. I hate to have a dental done on them (they've had two so far) and it doesn't seem to help anyway, their breath still stank after those dentals, and I hate putting them through that anyway Not to mention that I just cannot afford the expense. I don't think it's anything medical, as they had the BEST breath when I was giving them the Hartz dental biscuits. I was so disappointed when they started itching, then I read the box and realized they had corn in them. I'll look for those Zukes bones, and try to be better about brushing their teeth more.

| Thanks I'll have to check out a few places when I get the chance. Might be cheaper for me to order online and save the gas, because the few doggie boutique type places that I know of aren't close to me, except for one. I suppose I could call them though

| Snickers loves the Zuke's ZRidge...but they are expensive!! Make sure you get them the small/mini size. I know 3 dog bakery carries them, many stores around me only have the soft treats as well. Snickers is on a grainfree diet so I limit how often he gets them. He goes through them fast, there are three flavors: Fennel, cranberry, and carrot. And they don't bleed onto the carpets Funny that bag of 15 at 3 dog costs 15 bucks but at my feed store, only like 5 bucks!
