| Refrigerate unused portion, then what? Okay, I know you refrigerate unused portion and then what? Do you reheat it? Or do you feed it to them cold? How long does canned food last in the fridge? |

| It lasts three days and I'd feed it cold. You'd have to ask the company if it is okay to microwave and for how long because very high temps could destroy vitamin levels.

| Welcome to YT!! I refrigerate the unused canned food and it last me about 3 days. The food i use can be stored in the can with a lid as it doesn't have any of the metal exposed to the food. There is a white "lining" inside the can. I take out 5 little chunks in the morning and nuke it for about 10 seconds...that will take the chill off without cooking it. My girls prefer it warm or room temperature. They only get it room temp on the day it is opened...they get it nuked the rest of the time. If you are going to wave your baby's food, make sure you test it first so it isn't too hot. I figured out the timing my just sticking my finger in it to make sure it wasn't too hot. I also put a papertowel over it when it is warming up so it doesn't splatter if it happens to pop a little. If your canned dog food doesn't have any lining inside and just has the aluminum, you should store it in another tupperware type container. |

| I was told by the owner of the pet boutique that sells the premium foods that if you transfer the canned food to an airtight plastic container you can keep it for up to a week. |

| Yeah, like Ladymom said, we transfer our's to a glass container & keep it for up to a week in the fridge. I scoop out their portion & leave it out for 15-20 min & serve room temp. If I don't have time, I'll nuke it in the microwave for 5-7 sec.

| The vet said that you can freeze can dog food. I used to portion out by the tablespoon and freeze. I would take 3 days worth out at a time. I would also nuke for about 7-10 secs just to make it room temp.

| I put canned dog food in plastic containers and freeze it. I put a conainer in the fridge the day before I feed it. They all eat it cold.

YT 1000 Club Member | I freeze mine in ice cube trays..(then when they are frozen..I pop them out and put them into plastic bags) 1-2 of these cubes make the perfect portion depending on the size of dog...my KiKi only eats one per meal....so 1 can goes a long way. I just take one out of the freezer and defrost for 20 seconds...ready to serve!

| I think it is ok for about 3 days. I add a touch of hot water in the food when I give it to them. |

| Tanj is on the Science Diet L/D. I put the lid that they gave me right on the can and put it in the fridge. I add a little bit of water and microwave for 13 secs, she loves it. Before I would not warm it and she would not eat no matter how hungry she was. |
