| do your puppies do this? sometimes, after charlie comes inside from pooping outside..he be moving but in a sitting position. It is this cute little sitting walk. I don't know how to explain it. I wonder if this is his way of scratching his little butt? |

| he may have worms check his butt a couple times during the day when he does this and see if there is a rice size white thing. if you put it on something or can look at it long enough it will stretch in and out. they are easy to get rid of with a pill. also he may have poop still on his butt, you may need to make sure the hair is clipped around there.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Did you ever find a vet for him? If not, I'd get him in to be checked for worms. Otherwise, it could be his anal glands filling up, they become irritating - and he's trying to empty them. If that's the case, you want to consider what you're feeding. What are you feeding?

| It could be any of the things mentioned above. My first thought would be anal glands because they shoudl empty when he poops and maybe they are irritating him. Is his stool soft or firm?

| hmm his stools are soft. I am feeding him natural balance duck and potatoe and natural balance turkey roll. He doesn't do it all the time but once in a while. He does it on the carpet so i can't see anything since our carpet is a cream color. I hope he doesn't have worms. He has 3 strongdid shots already. He loves to eat things outside and likes to sit on the ground so who knows. |

| Why has he been dewormed 3 times? Has he tested positive all 3 times or does the vet just like to give meds? Some breeders don't deworm their pups at all unless they test positive... Soft stool can cause the anal glands to not empty. You may need to switch foods to something that will firm up his stool.

| My yorkie does this ALOT! No matter how many times I trim his butt hair (hehe) some way or some how he manages to get it dirtied. Then he goes on the sheets and wipes his butt and dirties it! Ugh... I keep an eye on him and use a baby wipe when I see him dragging his butt... |
