| can you beleive my vet recommends nutro?? after all this talk about nutro i called my vet immediately to ask her for suggestion recommendations on other foods - and this is what she said - "nutro is good, they had a problem years ago but not now they have changed etc.. I feed my dog nutro and im very happy with it" I was shocked to hear this...then she said if you still have concerns i would recommend the royal caning or yorkie dental from petco since yorkies have a lot of dental problems...so anyway i'm more confused than ever... i am definetly reading and doing more research on what will be best for my baby girl..i want the best for her and her health,....i wouldn't know what to do if something happened to her...thank you all for your support and all the emails i've received on food recommendations!!! |

| i believe it!! there are SO many vets that feed what is in mine and many others opinions "crap"!! it's very unfortunate.. i am very into what i feed my girls.. and i most definitely wouldn't take my vets advice on food (sad to say!! ) i would definitely stick to your OWN RESEARCH on food, if i were you!

| oh and just to put it out there (since you are researching foods...) we feed our girls.. INNOVA small bites dry kibble (we leave this out 24-7 for them) we also feed them a RAW diet (nature's variety, primal, the honest kitchen..) and a high quality, grain free canned food (nature's variety instinct) good luck on your research.. let me know if you have ANY questions!!

Yorkie Yakker | I was feeding my little boy Nutro until I saw the thread about another yorkie death credited to Nutro the other day. Someone recommended a site to me that rates all the dog foods, canned and dry and lists the ingredients. I have found it very helpful. I switched him to Wellness Core. That is supposed to be a very good food. I called my vet and he recommends Hills Science Diet and Eukanuba. He had never heard of any of the high end foods that I was considering. I was shocked he is a great vet but not in the food recommending department apparently. The website is Dog Food Analysis - Reviews of kibble Hope that helps, it is confusing!! |
