| Rachael Ray launches dog food Have you all heard this? Cat food coming too. Healthy option - I'm off to find her website? Benefits rescue Rachael Ray launches dog food By J.M. HIRSCH • ASSOCIATED PRESS • July 28, 2008 In the latest expansion of her culinary empire, celebrity chef Rachael Ray has launched a charity-driven line of dog foods based on recipes she has created for her pit bull, Isaboo. Advertisement But will it take 30 minutes to feed Fido? Ray, who came to fame with her "30 Minute Meals" Food Network show, said all of her proceeds from sales of Rachael Ray Nutrish pet foods will go to Rachael's Rescue, which she founded to help at-risk animals. The outspoken dog lover regularly features recipes for pet food in her magazine, Every Day With Rachael Ray. "It seemed like not a lot of extra time to donate to something that could potentially raise millions of dollars for championing these little creatures that can't speak for themselves," Ray said. A line for cats also is planned. Ray's pet charity group recently selected its first beneficiary, a terrier mix named Spirit that made national news earlier this month after a man was caught on videotape savagely beating it at the U.S.-Mexico border. The dog suffered multiple fractures. Rachael's Rescue has offered to cover all medical costs for the dog's recovery.

| i can't believe she is putting her name behind this product, she needs a new pet nutritionist. If this is what she feeds her dog, I am shocked. Why Brewers Rice and Brown Rice, that's a lot of rice? Low quality in my opinion. |

| Let's Not~ Burn her at the stake! I like RR but I did think her recipes were not condusive (sp?) for all breeds, but we just have to pick and choose what we feel is right for our puppies...Everyone will not be able to please everyone, so let's be fair! We had a GS and would never feed our yorkies what we fed her! Thank You~

| I just commented on the corn gluten meal, tomatoes, (dangerous for dogs aren't they?) and menadione. Rachael Ray had a special on dog food one time. She really thought Merricks was great. Too bad she couldn't have the same quality food. Cindy |
