| Alot of Poop? Is this normal? Bella is 15 weeks and I changed her from Science Diet (the vets' recommendation) to Natural Balance. This past Friday she was officially changed over and only eating Natural Balance. The last few days she has had ALOT of poop. I mean ALOT for such a little dog. I've woken up the last few nights having to clean off her pad so she could poop some more (a total of 3 times). Is this normal or is it just where she is eating better food now or what? Or am I over-reacting? Thanks a bunch!

| Better food should equal less fillers and less stool. You might need to slowly change to something else. Just don't do it too fast and upset her stomach. Three times a day for a pup isn't bad but more than that is questionable.

| Well that's 3 times during the night. Yesterday she pooped 4 times after she woke up plus the 3 times during the night. She had her food and then 2 litle treats, but she has had the treats before and they are smaller than a cheerio. Oh well, so much for all the great food research I did.

| My girl seems to poop more during a food change until her system adjusts to the new one. Natural Balance is a good food. You might give it a day or too more and see if she slows down and does less pooping. I fed Natural Balance at one time and my two did fine. They just got tired of it and I am one to change foods to try something new.

| She might be still trying to get rid of the Science Diet!

| I don't really know about better food meaning less poops. When mine were young they could have pooped 5x a day, depends on how much food they eat and don't forget about treats and cookies. Roxy is now 3.5 y/o - I homecook fresh for her, very healthy, and she is still guaranteed to poop 3x (maybe 4 on occasion) ...anyway...I think it's kinda normal, you just have to get to know her and her schedule |

| As long as her stools are normal, I believe she is ok.

| Well here stool looks fine and I talked to my cousin told me to relax and give it a few more days too. I am going to have variety in Bella's diet too, well if she will eat other stuff. She's kinda picky. Thanks for all the advice, I feel much better and the pooping has decreased alot already today.

| I went through that with Baxter. he now gets Chicken Soup kibble plus other treats. he goes 3-4 times a day now. I still think that is a lot. He is 7 months old so it may get less as he gets older. i had a pom that only went once a day on Purina One. |

| Scooter is 15 weeks, and on Wellness, and when we were switching foods he went a lot, and not on a schedule at all. Now it's 4 times a day and on a pretty regular schedule, so I think that's good. I wish it was 3 times, but he's really small, so hopefully when he gets bigger he'll be able to hold more

| Max was eating Canidae and he was pooping atleast 5-6 times a day. I changed his food to Merrick grammy's pot pie and now its only 2 times a day. Im thinking the food change is what did it.

| I just changed Lily to Canidae!! She goes at least 4x a day anyhow?? She seems to like the food but she has eaten ANYTHING so far!!lol She does eat well. I free feed her dry kibble so I hope I have her on good food?? She was on Purina when I got her and I gave her some new stuff from "Rachel Ray" that said it was all natural but when I got to the pet store that had the Canidae I thought I would try it. She seems to scratch alot but I kinda attribute that to her having mats in her puppy fur and now that I had her groomed this week and they shaved her maybe she is itching from that?? I hope this food is good for her skin too?? I bought some cheerios but haven't given her any yet. How many can she eat a day? She weighs 2.9lb. last time she was at the vet and she is 17 weeks old. |
