| Strange Hair Loss (pics) can someone help? Baby's hair has been getting pretty long, except for on her hind legs, and on her one right leg, her hair is REALLY short. Now I don't know if it is breaking off, or if there is something wrong...but I am posting a few pics so maybe someone can help. Thanks in advance! |

| Maybe her hair is changing. My Jewels hair on her back got real thin then it came in silky and thick.

| I wouldn't really know, but how old is she? Could she be getting her adult coat? Does she scratch a lot? |

| Oh man, that's what Fred has!! It's not missing hair completely but it feels really stubby. Like my boyfriend's mustache when he hasn't shaved in 2 days. It is really weird. Did Baby's come out of nowhere? Like, it just appeared?? I wish I had a camera at times like these. |

| If its just shorter, then its probably breaking off somehow. Does she rub against something, or scratch herself there? |

| Thats how Jewels hair was too all over her back. It looked real bad. The vet did a skin scrape but she didn't have anything. It immediately started growing in thicker.

| Some dog are allergic to flea bites. They will chew that coat right off biting the area. You don't always have to see a flea but they can be bitten. Even if they are treated for fleas they can be can bitten, but then the flea dies. If baby has been treated for fleas I would spray the area with something like benadryl spray or put an anti-itch cream on it. Of course a vet check is the best way to know for sure whats going on. |

| Wow, thanks everyone... Natalie: Yes it just happened...I hadn't noticed it and then wham bam there it is??? Troubletb: No, she hasn't rubbed against anything, but I have noticed her like nibbling it a few times. Chachi: I would be so excited if her hair grew in thicker! That would make my day since it seems kinda thin right there. C.C.'s: Baby is on Revolution, but I had her at a cookout the other day and she got attacked by sandfleas. I saw 3 or 4 on her and freaked out, but after a few hours, the ones that I wasn't able to pull off has died after biting her. I suppose this was from the Revolution. I hadn't realized that it could still affect her with the medication, thanks for pointing that out. I will try some itch spray to see if it helps. Thanks so much to everyone! I don't know what I would do without you all! |

| One day when I was at the vet's office, a couple was there with their little shi-tsu and they said she had an allergy to fleas and if even one bit her it could (i don't remember if they said be fatal or make her very ill) and once a month they have to bring her in to get an allergy shot. I don't mean to scare you. It's just fyi! |
