| Oral fixation?? I know that a lot of people complain about their yorkies licking to death, but I think my Lily has an oral fixation problem. Not only is she trying to lick me 24/7, but when I pull her away I notice that her mouth is still moving. I know it sounds weird, but it's like when a drug addict is constantly moving their mouth or have cotton mouth or something. She will lick anything...the couch, my shoes, my pillow, etc. She did have a double set of teeth a long time ago and had to have 18 pulled. Maybe it has to do with that? Does anyone know anything I can do? I wish they had doggy pacifiers or mouth guards or something. My poor little licker!

| Hehehe, you are not alone. My Remi is like that sometimes. His little tongue is constantly licking something and his tongue will continue licking, too, after pulling him away. No clue as to what to do about it, tho. I just let him lick away .

| My fletcher does this... I took him to the vet for it. The vet had never seen anything like it in her life. He just looks like his mouth is opening and closing when he stops licking for a minute or two, then it stops moving. Its the funniest thing, but apparently is not a problem really! He is not really a licker though... I mean he does lick, but not constantly. So I dunno!

| you know, i dont think that it is a problem. i think it just means that they love you a lot both mine do it -- i think its when they are over excited and they just want to get at you and shower their love on you -even if they're being restrained lol its the cutest thing... |
