| Cheerios?? I read somewhere that dogs LOVE cheerios and that they are good to give for treats/training. Is this true? Or anything else like that, that's small and inexpensive (haha). Please let me know!! Thanks!! |

| I have definitley heard this. I don't eat cereal, so I don't know from personal experience, but the breeder that I got Bunny from gives her Yorkies cereal every morning for b/fast and they LOVE it!

| I give Kacee cheerios as treats, usually after she goes potty outside. I'll ask her if she wants a cheerio and back to the house she goes. Yep! She knows what a cheerio is. |

| I tried to get mine to eat regular cheerios and they didn't like them at all! However, one day my kids bought the honey-nut cheerios to eat for breakfast and they ended up giving our babies a few. Wouldn't you know it? --They just loved them! Of course, they are not good for them because of all the sugar, so we don't do the cheerio thing here!

| I'm glad you asked that! I've been giving Lida cheerios as treats because most of the treats you can buy are just too darn big and too much work. I guess I never thought to ask, just assumed they were ok. I tried to give her a honey nut one but she wouldn't eat it, she doesn't have a sweet tooth in her mouth! When she's a good girl I give her one cheerio! She gets about 5 or 6 a day! Windy and Lida Rose |

| I'm going to have to try Cheerios. All the other treats are a little to big to use for training because it takes to long for Asia to eat them between camands. Cheerios should be just the right size. |

| I feed Olivia honey nut cheerios as a treat. She goes nuts for them! Like luzangela428 said, they're a good size as opposed to many other treats on the market. I actually buy the Malt o Meal brand at Walmart- a HUGE bag is like $4 or $5 and last quite a long time. (I occasionally eat them for breakfast, and they're just as good as Cheerios, too!) |

| Thanks! Thanks for all your replies! I figured it would be okay, but definitely wanted to make sure!!! Another quick question - what is your opinion on giving your puppy treats while potty training? I've heard conflicting views... Some think that it's okay and a good way to reward them for doing something right, but others say it's bad to get them thinking that every time they go to the bathroom, they're going to get a treat. Just wondering!! |
