| Trimming that area!! Ok so I'm getting ready to give Gizmo a summer cut, however I'm terrified about trimming around his little....Peanut..? Package..?? Any suggestions. I don't want to nick him, especially around that a, um, sensitive area. Oh the humiliation!

| I always dread trimming in that area. Just make sure to make gentle light passes with the clippers because it is so easy to give them a clipper burn. I always leave a pee string too

| I trim the end with a pair of scissors as far down as safe to do so and just leave the rest. |

| You know for once, I really lucked out with Dudley. He will lay on his little back on the grooming table and let me trim anything I want to trim. Then,,,,, there is Kayla. Ohhhhh!!!! They broke the mold, but love that little munchkin to death, no matter how onery she is. |

| I always ask the groomer to make the littler "weewer" (My Mom called it that and the name has stuck as short as possible....in between grooms, they both let me clip them. Max and Titus lay on thier backs spread eagle while I trim. (They have no shame) I go for the shorter the better. The pee string grosses me out when I pick them up and get a wet spot on my hand.

| The pee string keeps the urine headed in one direction, one stream, down, away from their tummy, or legs, etc. To trim around his little rectum, I put my left thumb directly over his little rectum, and then use my Peanut clippers to trim AWAY from my thumb....I do that all the way around his rectum....once you ever get his rectum caught in clippers, you are going to have a HORRIBLE time getting clippers ANYWHERE in that area! Around his "kahones", I just keep my fingers between the clippers and the family jewels, as I go up inside his legs..... I personally do not get scissors anywhere near anything on my babies....they move and jump too quickly for me to be comfortable doing anything with scissors. |

| Hold him up w/his front 2 paws so he's standing on his hind legs. Go over w/the clipper & #10 blade over the bottom part, sides, & tummy nearest the wee wee. Leave a pee string.
