| Potty Training in -35c Weather As if potty training wasn't a tough enough task, thanks to the geographic location of my hind end (North of Edmonton), I've got to convince my little fluff of destruction that it's a good think to poo outside just as long as you do it fast enough that your paws don't freeze to the ground! I sure wouldn't want to potty in subzero temps and can hardly blame him when he leaves gifts near the door and "forgets" to ask to go outside. Anyone have any suggestions or am I "pooched" until spring? (We wear warm coats and are held inside mom's coat until poo time then quickly picked back up) |

| You poor dears! Actually the really cold Canadian winter has made our house breaking a tad bit easier. . . because they know they have to go outside, but don't want to be out there for long. Good luck! |

| Sam is perfectly trained and she still spent over 5 minutes finding the "right" spot this morning. She comes back and her feet are practically frozen and I'm thinking "what on earth is wrong with you?" Loki figures as long as 4 feet are outside (usually 2 feet on the sidewalk, 1 paw in the grass and 1 paw lifted) is good enough. He pooped on the porch/sidewalk this morning and who could blame him? It's all covered in snow to him! Good luck! At least there isn't much to sniff or eat outside this time of year!

| we also train our dog to go potty inside with a WizDog. It works well, but he likes to go outside too (very quickly).

| This works for me, too. When it's nice out, she'll go outside again. She wants to go out but it's too cold and there's too much snow in the back yard, she wouldn't get far anyway, the drifts are much taller than she is! |

| i think it's way too cold for your babies..It's even way too cold for us. you might want to consider wee wee pad training the baby.

| Winston will not potty in the house ever. So when I take him out I just say the magic word..."HURRY"...he'll scoot out the door, do his business and be back at the door within 1 minute. Yep, I count the seconds...because I will not let him stay out too long. He knows it's now or later...and he generally chooses now. But the magic word has to be taught in advance...from now on just when you know he's going to squat to poop say "HURRY" with enthusiasm. After doing that each and every time he's about to poop...he'll learn the magic!!!
