| Camping with Pups Hi All! I just thought I'd share our recent experiences of (semi) camping with our four small dogs. We stayed at the KOA in Mount Pleasant, SC and rented a 1 room cabin for the week. It worked out wonderfully. These cabins are all wood so there is nothing to be ruined. They do have heat, air conditioning, and cable. The girls loved it! We were able to take lock the screen door so they could look out and watch the squirrels run by. Also, because you are detached from everyone else, you are able to leave them in the room to go for dinner and what-not. The worst part was that you have to walk outside to use the communal bathrooms but it's the price we had to pay to travel with all four of our girls. We enjoyed our time and would highly recommend it as it's my understanding that almost all KOA's allow pets and some have cabins with bathrooms! They even gave us treats upon check-in and allowed the girls on the hayride! |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | That's great your camping worked out so well, I love to hear success stories like this. We're not too many years from retiring and my dream is to travel more and of course taking the dogs with us...so, I need to know the places we can take them. I may have to find the places with private bathrooms though...don't know about that one yet.

| I often run into problems tent camping with Lexie. Not all places allow dogs and many that do, only allow them in the cabins and only one dog per site. Some places will let me through, but I have had to grab a hotel on more than one occasion because of restrictive campground rules with dogs.

| I just thought I'd update and add that we've stayed at the KOA in Sweetwater, TN (with an on-site dog park) and the KOA in Naples, FL since I made this post. Both places were awesome with my girls and even provided treats for them at check-in. Up next, KOA Jacksonville, FL and hopefully Branson, MO for my birthday! Oh and for those that are interested, KOA does allow dogs in tents. |

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | We love camping and so do our four furbabies. They are so well trained and know the difference between at home and in our camper and do very well. They love it when the park clears out and I can take them over to the open field to run free. Best time ever!

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | Same here... we useually camp the week days to avoid the crowd. Yes they are trained to go both outdoors! I think in the past 9 yrs camping with the dogs we have only has three oppsies. We have a rule in our home and while camping. Rule: First one up put the dogs out! As soon as they see some moving around in the camper they are all on it. Whining to go out.

| Camping with our 6 dogs is fun. We have a motor home and when we start to pack it up, the dogs are all excited. We do this for the winter. We travel to dog shows, visit friends and just enjoy the close quarters with our dogs. Because we are in a confined to the area, we see more of the cute things each of the dogs do. They are entertainment for us each day as one of them does something just too cute. This morn one ours was trying to show his, I am the boss, flinging his back legs, but he was also doing the front one's like he was wiping his feet, I broke into laughter as I watch him do this. My thing is hating walking the dogs and watching for the droppings of others that do not clean up. I am very fussy about my dogs not being around it, because of health issues. Walking them is fun too we have met so many great people in campgrounds because of our yorkies. I have some very close friends they we have met because of them. Yorkies always bring us friends, lasting friends are the best, and the one's my yorkies have brought into my life are very special.

| Our yorkie goes with us on our horse camping trips. We haul a horse trailer that has living quarters. When we ride the horses, Jersey stays in the trailer with the air on if it is hot and the heat on if it is cold. When we are relaxing outside he is in an xpen. It is wonderful to have him with us! We are adding another yorkie to our family in a few weeks, so we will have 2 with us on our trips. Most of the horse campgrounds allow dogs and alot of us bring them. |

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | Reminds me of something that happened last July when my family and I were packing the car to leave for Kentucky for a mini vacation. My Quincy loves camping so much that when he saw bags, shower bags and pillows being loaded into the car he runs out the door and jumps into the car. My daughter is yelling for him to get out of the car but when he does he just gets out and goes under the car to the other side and jumps in there. In and OUt, IN and out going under the car from one side to the other for several minutes. Meanwhile I'm just cracking up... She finally gets a hold of him and has to carry him back into the house. Defenatly a Priceless moment from our very first family vacation other than camping!

| Mine love luxury camping cabin or RV. They would probably be fine with tents but Mom would not be.
