Default Pet-friendly lodging in Orlando?

Anyone know of any (tried and trusted) pet-friendly lodging in Orlando (preferably 10-15 minutes from Disney World)? Has anyone stayed at the Loews at Universal Studios?

Thanks!

Maybe someday Disney will become more Pet Friendly.... its why I havent been since I got my babies.... Good Luck!
Please post if you find the right place!

I really wish they would. Pets are such a big market now, that I'm surprised they haven't!

I am thinking about renting a house as it's pretty reasonable and I wouldn't have to worry about housekeeping (although that is something I'll MISS!) or anyone else coming in.

I looooove the Disney resorts so my only concern of staying in a house is that it won't be Disney enough. We'll see though!

we have stayed at royal pacific. it is very expensive....we have also rented a luxury home with a pool. beware of some nasty pet friendly lodging in orlando. i wouldn't go near some of the 1 -3 star places. i would be scared of fleas.

keep your eyes in the sky in florida. they have a lot of hawks.

I just got back from Orlando! I originally booked a non friendly hotel because a friend was gonna watch my pup. The some things happened and he coulsnt watch Meeko. I was freaking out because i already payed for my hotel and i couldnt change it. I called around for some pet resort and found a good one. its called vip pet resort and he stayed there and loved it.

it was rough not being able to see him and sleep with him but he was a lot easier. We didnt have to worry about in the disney kennels. and when the pets are in there you have to come out (the kennels are usually in the farthest corner of the parking lot, took me 30 mins to walk there from the park front gate) to give them food and walk them. soo it was nice knowing he was being walked and fed. it wasnt that expensive, but then again ive never done this before. it was 29 a night, and i paid 6 for him to play with the other dogs for 4-5 hours. he loves playing with other dogs. when he picked him up he was very happy.

hope this helps!

I'd prefer for my dogs to stay with me. Thanks though.

I think I would always give my dogs a capstar if they weren't on flea prevention when staying in any hotel. When we first moved here, my husband's company put him in a Crowne Plaza while we sold our house and found a new one. He was there for a month and I would come up with Gracie (who was our only yorkie at the time). It was ocean front and for our little town it's a nicer hotel and Gracie got fleas. I was mortified but I will never take the chance again.

We haven't ever stayed in a hotel in florida.....but there are some YT'ers that have stayed in a rented home..... that allows pets. You could probably do a search. I remember that the pics looked really nice.

La Qunita's are pet friendly also. I've stayed at those in a couple of different cities.
