I went to tools and it is indeed on!....I do still get ads...like everytime I am trying to watch a video, there is some kind of ad that runs right before it...and there is NO "X" you can click on to turn it off.... I have a Dell Computer, Internet Explorer XP.....my friend set this up....I have NO idea what this is!

I am a Mac user and I use Safari and I haven't had any issues. Do you have an adblocker?

I don't even get the ads at the top of the screen anymore because I have an adblocker.

Yeah, you'll still get ads, especially on youtube, but these pop up ads are different, they will come every two seconds if you don't have a blocker. You can be reading something and an add will pop up. Nothing that you can do about the youtube ads that I know of.

I have problems on my tablet. I don't have this site saved in favorites on my tablet, so every time I Google yorkie talk, then click on the link, I get a spam message that says "your page is loading" and then some garbage site comes up. I go back, re-click on the Google link again and then I get the real site. This happens every time and only with yorkie talk. I've never had it happen on my tablet with any other site.

If it's checked off, it's off, I would check it "on" if you want to block the pop up ads.

i doubt it is an issue. i am at the library now and it happened here too. filestore72.info. online back up solutions. that is the page that opened now, usually it is 4 different windows.

no, it does not say "off" it is "on" i don't know where you are located, but we all have different speech communities. so, i grew up saying.. for example..
did you check it off? which means the job was done.. it is checked off..

so the pop up blocker is on.

ok, if i deconstruct this situation,the only conclusions i can come up with are:

1) several people's computers have an outdated pop up blocker
2) this site is being supported financially by the companies that are popping up
3) this site is being spammed or hijacked

maybe the admin can or owner of this group can join the convo and help clear things up?

Sorry for the confusion, but if it's checked "off" it may be off. I understand that when some people make a list they check things off as they are completed, but with computers a checkmark next to something could mean that that's is the state in which it is.
