| Donations? Hi! I'm sorta new here and I just have a question? Does this bbs take donations? I'd be happy to paypal some money if it'll help. The information and wonderfull people here is something I'd be happy to help support. I belong to another bbs (gaming bbs...yes I'm a geek) that has something called "member status" where for $15 USD per anum you get a few perks like your name in a special "member" colour, a larger pm mailbox and extra storage for attachments etc. With all the pictures I take that'd be handy . Anywho, as a new Yorkie daddy I just want to say thank you for this bbs and if I can help I'd like to. I work in IT and I know there are hardware, bandwidth, administration costs etc... Google ads don't always cover everything.... The bbs I'm a member of is www.nachos.net . The response to membership status this year went well and we members paid for a new sql server to make the bbs better |

Administrator | Well, thank you for the compliments Harbinger. The reason YorkieTalk exists is to have a community where Yorkies and their owners can hang out and learn from one another, as well as share pictures of our furry little children. We can currently accept donations (any amount is appreciated! ) via credit card of Paypal funds by sending funds to donations@yorkietalk.com (or we can take cashier's checks or money orders, for the address, just privately message this Admin account). If you do not yet have a Paypal account, you can sign up for one at http://www.PayPal.com Donations are of course, OPTIONAL, and are certainly appreciated. Any donations will be used to better YorkieTalk.com in terms of new features and to pay for costs. YT will always be FREE for members, new or existing. We have not yet decided what special status or options a donating member brings, the executive committee will confer on that one shortly. Last edited by admin; 03-03-2005 at 09:35 AM. |

| I tried PayPal and they just couldn't quite grasp the concept that two individuals can actually "share" a joint checking account!! My Patrick already had an account with them and they kept giving me an error message that the account was already being used! I began to feel like a criminal ... just cancelled out of that thing .... soooo decided to rely on "Pony Express" and mailed mine!!! Mail service in Colorado is the pits!!! I agree, Harginger, this site is the greatest ... most "free" information I have ever gotten!!

Administrator | As an added bonus to all that have donated already, your avatar can be as big as 125 by 125 pixels big, and up to 50kb in filesize. Also, you should have 5MB of storage space in the Photo Gallery! We'll try to add more benefits for donating members as we go! |
