Donating YT 30K Club Member | I have VPI for Cali and Pixie. I have used it alot for Cali as she seems to be pretty unhealthy so I have gotten back way more than I have paid in. Now Pixie I haven't had to use it, thank God but I like the security of having it. It costs about 22.00 a month for each dog.

| I also have VPI and though I got it late it is paying for itself. I recently got a new pup and will be putting him on it also. |

| I have pet insurance through Petsmart for 16.95 a month and love it. I really like the vet there... but I really like that I can drop by for any reason without worrying about cost. I don't get charged anything for an office visit. In fact I just took the dogs for a complete comprehensive and the puppy for its first appointment and the total for all three without insurance would have been over 1200.00 and my total came to 146.00 and that was only because we were just adding the puppy to the plan and that was 60.00. I have health dogs but it has been worth it to us!

| My petsmart doesn't have a vet there on a regular basis. What if you have an emergency on off hours... do they cover visits and emergencies at other vet offices? |

| I will check into that, but since they do not have specific vets I would assume so. |

| I believe they are open from 7 to 7. We have a great emergency vet down the street if we ever need it... but no our insurance wouldn't cover that. My thought is if I ever need the emergency vet I would have them just do what is necessary and then I would take them to my vet when it opened.

| It has been my experience that emergencies start 5 minutes after the vets office closes.... figures huh? Ok, just got off the phone and.....VPI covers procedures done by any licensed vet. That would include PetSmart or PetCo as long as the pet is seen by a licensed vet there. |

| i currently have PetsBest insurance. i've used it only once, and they paid promptly. Between my daughter and I we have 3 yorkies and 2 malteses. cost is about $136 a month. and worth it. I hope i dont have to eat my words, because one of our yorkies had to be ospitalized this morning. he was diagnosed with Pancreatitis. thus far, cost is almost $600. Our plan covers 80%. you might want to check them out. visit them at Veterinary Pet Health Insurance for Dogs and Cats from Pets Best hope it all works out for you. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
