My furbaby is a year and a half and was quoted $3,000 in California for both hind knees.... Hope all goes well! I would get a second estimate... not sure if it's due to age?

After pre-anesthetic blood work, found out her liver level is high.... 376; so need to try and find cause and work on lowering her level before they will consider operation for her knees...... Today they did coagulation tests and tomorrow ultra sound.... stay tuned... hope nothing serious. My fur babys health and spirits have been suffering.

| Prayers go out to your family end your Yorkie-baby. Hopefully they'll find out what's wrong and find a solution so you all can heal soon. I've found a vet in Rancho Cucamonga to do a 2nd opinion on Saturday, fingers crossed that it's more reasonable, so we can get her scheduled soon |

| Update **** Unfortunately surgery was put on hold due to elevated liver enzymes; my baby has been on medicine for past month and is due back on Wednesday this week to re-check your liver enzymes count. Previously over 300 / normal about 120. My fur baby has her good days and bad... but making her as comfortable as possible. Hard for a one and half year old to be inactive.... Okay, will keep you posted!! Thanks

| Update **** Baby just had her surgery over a week ago and is doing great..... This Saturday she will be going in and removing her stiches on her back legs. She's moving around and I couldn't be happier for my fur baby.

| After her surgery a few days later So glad she's doing well, looking good eating and walking around a little at slow pace, but in good spirits.

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | If I may ask, how much did it cost you? I'm sure will be more now but wondering what to expect? My Yorkie is 7 years old and only 3 pounds. Can she handle such a surgery?

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Where did you take her and how much did surgery cost? I'm planning to take Molly for ortho consult next week to Northside Hospital in San Bernardino.

| Luxating Patella Took my fur baby to pick Rivera animal hospital. Both hind legs cost $3300. Luckily I had pet insurance so out of pocket was about 400 plus dollars.
